It was hot work in the sun today installing a few new ads…

You definitely feel it standing behind a bus in WA heat — but funnily enough, panel temperature actually plays a part in how vinyl behaves.

Professional wrap films are designed to be applied within a recommended surface temperature range. When panels are sitting warm (not overheating), the film becomes more conformable and the pressure-sensitive adhesive achieves better surface contact and initial adhesion

Too cold and adhesion can suffer.
Too hot and you risk overstretching if you’re not careful.

Today the sun had the panels sitting in a nice working window — which meant smooth lay-down, controlled tension, and a clean finish.

You can’t control the weather… but you can understand the materials.
