Big thanks to Jackie from Jackie Griffiths Bookkeeping for taking us through the in’s and out’s of a bookkeeper’s role at today’s BNI meeting.

Jackie walked us through the financial side of running a business, showing just how easy it is to lose track of cash flow and ATO obligations without a good system in place.

If your bookkeeping system still involves a shoebox full of receipts, Jackie showed us why it might be time for an upgrade!

Thankfully, business owners don’t need to know everything about bookkeeping. That’s where Jackie comes in. She keeps up with changing regulations, is registered with the ATO to lodge reports on your behalf, and, as we saw today, is brilliant at making the tricky stuff easy to understand.

Okay, the breakfast is delicious. The people are great. And yes, we have a good laugh at our meetings.

But that alone wouldn’t get us out of our comfy beds every Tuesday for a 6:45am start!

Huuuuuge congratulations to Bairnsdale BNI member Wayne Jarvis of ACE Radio Network.

Wayne was recently acknowledged at BNI Melbourne South East’s mega meeting for his enormous effort of passing 1,814 referral leads to his fellow Bairnsdale members.

And while 1,814 is a pretty impressive number, what we love about this is the guy that sits behind it.

Wayne is someone who pays attention. He listens to what people need, notices opportunities and thinks about who in his network might be able to help. He does it generously, without needing to be the person at the centre of every conversation.

Wayne, 1,814 is an extraordinary effort. We’re very lucky to have you in our Bairnsdale BNI crew. Congratulations 👏

Another brilliant meeting this morning, with business over breakfast at Bairnsdale International.

Next week, we officially launch our hybrid meeting, an intuitive that welcomes owners and representatives to join us online where their business is based more than 50k from Bairnsdale.

We’ve made sure the sound, visuals and meeting make it feel just like you’re in the room - though you’ll have to supply your own brekky!

What a cracker of a day!

BNI Bairnsdale members headed to Pakenham today for the very first South East Melbourne region MEGA CHAPTER MEETING.

More than 300 business owners and representatives gathered together to share a little about their business, make connections, and ask the room for a specific referral request.

Congratulations to Bairnsdale members Wayne Jarvis and Michael Ellet who were both recognised for being top referrers, invitees, and closed business earners across the whole region!

Plus, our resident Not-For-Profit Gippsland Community Foundation was front and centre, sponsoring the event too.

Well done to all Bairnsdale members who made the trip…. Now to follow up on all of those brilliant connections!
