🏆 Finals time at North Warrnambool Eagles! 🦅

Congratulations to North Warrnambool Eagles Football Netball Club Inc on successfully obtaining a Temporary Liquor Licence to support the club’s finals games this season!

The Eagles are a proud community sporting club with a strong history of bringing players, families, supporters and the wider Warrnambool community together through football and netball.

With finals comes plenty of excitement, big crowds and an opportunity for the club community to come together and celebrate the season. The temporary liquor licence will allow the club to provide liquor service during the approved finals events, adding to the atmosphere and helping make game days a great experience for everyone.

We’re proud to have assisted the North Warrnambool Eagles with their licensing requirements and wish the club, players and supporters all the best for the finals! 🦅🏆

🏨 IF YOU’RE FROM BACCHUS MARSH, YOU’LL KNOW THIS SITE…

Grant Street, Bacchus Marsh has been a familiar sight around town for many years.

The building was constructed but has sat vacant for years, becoming an increasingly obvious eyesore on Grant Street and a property many locals have wondered about.

The site has also had a long and difficult planning history, including previous Moorabool Shire Council refusals and VCAT rejections.

But now, there’s finally some movement.

A Planning Permit has been approved for 32 Grant Street, Bacchus Marsh, with the site set to become a Motel. 🏨

After sitting vacant for so many years, the Grant Street property will finally have a new purpose.

And a new motel could bring some real benefits to Bacchus Marsh and the wider Moorabool community — providing accommodation for visitors, supporting local tourism, creating potential employment opportunities and bringing more visitors into town to support local cafes, restaurants, shops and businesses.

It also means an existing, long-vacant building can finally be put back into productive use rather than continuing to sit empty.

New proof of residency rule for RSA bridging course.

The RSA bridging course is intended to support interstate or international residents who are moving to Victoria for work.

From 30 July 2026, if you lodge a bridging application for an online course, you must show proof of residency at the time you completed the course. There is no change for in-person courses.

To apply for the bridging course, you must have:
• completed RSA training approved by a state or territory liquor licensing authority
• lived interstate or overseas when you completed an online course
• completed your original RSA training within the last 3 years.

Responsible Service of Alcohol training in Victoria gives people working in licensed venues the skills and knowledge to safely serve and supply alcohol.

🚨 LCV HAS UPDATED MANDATORY LIQUOR SIGNAGE

⚠️ Don’t overlook this update. Failure to display required signage, or displaying incorrect signage, can result in a fine of more than $1,000.

👉 We recommend all Victorian licensed venues review their current signage and replace any outdated versions.

Liquor Control Victoria has updated the mandatory signs that must be displayed at licensed venues and liquor stores.

If you operate a licensed venue, now is a good time to check your signage and make sure you’re displaying the current versions. ✅

📌 Key reminders:
• Mandatory signs should be displayed in colour
• They need to be clearly visible to customers
• Consider placing them behind the bar at eye level or in another prominent location
• Make sure you have the correct, current signs displayed
