Darwin bound ☀️

Matt and Louise will be in Darwin from 5–8 September for the Australian Pipelines and Gas Association (APGA) Annual Convention.

It’s one of the big gatherings on the pipeline industry calendar, bringing together people working across gas, energy, water and slurry pipelines to talk projects, operations, technology, training, environmental challenges and, of course, safety.

With pipeline operations, safety and project challenges all on the agenda, it’s a good chance to have a proper conversation about the monitoring equipment and support you need in the field.

From gas detection and fixed monitoring through to hire, calibration, servicing and technical support, we can help make sure the gear is ready when you need it.

If you’re heading to APGA, come and say hello to Matt and Louise at Stand C8 ☺️

All dressed up in our footy colours for the announcement and celebrations of our 2026 Encore Footy Tipping Competition 🏉

Nothing says footy quite like a pie, so we had to include them in our morning tea 🥧

Congratulations to Carley for taking out the honours this year, with Mitch and Max hot on her heels. Louise swooped in to get a prize in her first year in the comp. A prize is a prize 😉

Well done to all our winners. The rest of us have a full off-season to work on our strategy.

It’s a dog’s life, and we all just live in it🐾

A feel-good one today for National Dog Day, featuring some very important members of the Encore extended team.

National Dog Day is about celebrating dogs of every shape, size and background. From the ones who work alongside us, to rescue dogs, assistance dogs and the highly skilled professionals whose main role appears to be sleeping in the best seat in the house.

They give us loyalty, companionship and a very good reason to leave work on time.

And while we’re celebrating them, has anyone else ever wondered ….

What has my dog named me?

Are your diesel engines ready for tighter DPM exposure limits?

Diesel particulate matter exposure limits are under review, with lower limits being considered.

For underground mine sites, that makes now a pretty good time to take a closer look at how diesel emissions are being identified and managed across the fleet.

And a good place to start is at the tailpipe.

The Testo 340 Diesel Emissions Kit allows teams to carry out tailpipe testing and spot checks on underground diesel equipment, measuring key gases including CO, CO₂, NO, NO₂ and O₂, depending on configuration.

Changes in those readings can help flag poor combustion, engine condition or maintenance issues before they become a bigger problem.

It’s not a replacement for occupational DPM exposure monitoring. It is another useful piece of the puzzle when you’re trying to understand what your engines are putting out at the source.

Encore can help with the full Testo 340 setup, including new equipment, hire, calibration, servicing, repairs and technical support.

And because nobody wants an analyser sitting on a service bench for weeks, our factory-trained technicians typically turn servicing and calibration around in 3 to 5 business days.

With the DPM exposure limit under review, now is a good time to review your diesel monitoring program and ensure you have the equipment and processes in place to identify poorly performing diesel equipment before it becomes a larger exposure concern.

Talk to the Encore team about Testo 340 supply, hire, servicing and calibration.

Big first day at AFAC26 for Nick and Russell in Melbourne 😊

Australasia’s premier conference and exhibition for emergency management, fire and rescue, and first responder innovation is well underway, with plenty happening on the Blackline Safety stand.

Two days left to get down there and have a chat with the boys at Stand 583.

Connected safety is about more than the device on your belt. It’s knowing what’s happening, where it’s happening and being able to respond when it matters.

On display from Blackline Safety:
▪️ G6 - Connected single-gas detection
▪️ G7X - Cellular and satellite-connected personal monitoring
▪️ G8 - Next-generation connected safety wearable
▪️ EXO8 - Cellular and satellite-connected area monitoring

The real advantage comes from what happens once the equipment is in the field.

Blackline devices connect directly to the cloud, giving teams real-time visibility of personnel, gas exposure and emergency events, with the option to self-monitor or use Blackline’s 24/7 live monitoring service.

If you’re at AFAC26, swing by Stand 583, say hello to Nick and Rusty and see the technology in action 😊

If you’re hiring gas detection equipment for a shutdown, the last thing you need is more setup when it arrives on site. That’s why our Blackline Safety rental packages come ready to go.

We determine what equipment is needed for the job, configure it before it leaves Encore and can support it throughout the shutdown.

We’ve also had custom chassis built to keep everything together, including chargers, docking stations, gas cylinders, a PC and screen showing live readings from the field.

Once the monitors are out there, Blackline Live gives teams real-time visibility into readings and alerts. And if a detector goes missing during a busy shutdown, its last known location can help track it down.

Afterwards, the reporting gives you a useful record of hazards, bump tests, calibrations and compliance.

Need a hand during the job? Our team can provide onsite support, troubleshoot remotely and respond quickly if something isn’t behaving as it should.

Rent it, run it and we'll support it 😊

Got a shutdown or turnaround coming up? Talk to the Encore team about getting the right Blackline rental set-up on site.
