Sydney, you’ve got a new Encore local 👋

Welcome Amy, our new Technical Sales & Applications Specialist, based in Sydney and helping to support our East Coast customers.

Amy brings about 15 years of experience in gas detection and industrial safety across Australia and New Zealand. With technical sales, service and projects all under her belt, she knows the gear and the work that goes with it. That includes seven years working with suppliers such as Honeywell and Blackline across fixed and portable systems.

She’ll help new customers get to know Encore and support those already working with us in finding the right equipment for the job.

We recently had Amy over in Perth for a week of training, with Nick joining us from Queensland too. It was a great chance to bring the whole Encore team together and welcome her properly.

Literally backing up a fully loaded Encore Van to drop off donations at Street Friends WA. Chris was there to meet Steve and help unload a huge amount of warm clothing, blankets and essential items 🚐 🧣 🧦 🧥

Street Friends WA provides an amazing service to those who need it most. Real help, delivered every Thursday night on Moore Street. If you have a few spare hours, they are always looking for volunteers to sort items in the warehouse.

Rafi will be getting stuck into the hands-on side of the business, learning the ins and outs of calibration, testing, repairs and maintenance across the wide range of monitoring equipment that comes through our workshop.

Matt, Steve and Nick teamed up for a Shark Tank-style pitch challenge in front of the WatchGas Detection panel, competing against three other teams.

The brief? Pitch for investment in future product development.

Their pitch got the nod, and they took out the win. Congrats team 🙌

Meet Sam, our newest Service Technician.

Sam comes with an electrical background, so he’s already got a pretty solid head start on the assortment of gas detectors, monitors, wires, sensors and mystery equipment that regularly lands on the service bench.

He’ll be working across calibration, testing, repairs and maintenance, helping make sure the equipment our clients rely on is working as it should and ready to go when it’s needed.
