🏆 QUEENSLAND VITICULTURIST OF THE YEAR

We’re incredibly proud to announce that Jason Costanzo has been named Queensland Viticulturist of the Year at the 2026 Queensland W**e Awards. 🍇

A 3rd generation grape grower, Jason has spent his life amongst the vines at Golden Grove Estate, following in the footsteps of his family and continuing a tradition that spans generations.

From pruning and planting to harvest and everything in between, the vineyard has always been a huge part of Jason’s life.

This one is pretty special.

Wow, what a w**e!

From the exceptional 2005 vintage — one of the great Granite Belt vintages — this w**e is a great example of what the region is truly capable of.

21 years young and still showing incredible fruit, freshness and balance. The acid is spot on, while the tannins are beautifully soft and silky, making this an absolute pleasure to drink.

Our Shiraz vines are now around 60 years old and producing some of the best fruit on the Belt. W**es like this are a reminder of just how special old vines and great vintages can be.

This year, our w**es have been recognised with some of Queensland's highest honours:

🏆 Best Qeensland W**e – 2025 Nero d'Avola (Royal Queensland Awards 2026)

🏆 Best Queensland White W**e – 2025 Chardonnay (Cairns Show W**e Awards 2026)

🏆 Best Queensland Red W**e – 2025 Barbera (Cairns Show W**e Awards 2026)

What makes this especially meaningful is our back-to-back Best Queensland W**e success at the Royal Queensland Awards, following our 2024 Nero d'Avola's win at the 2025 Royal Queensland Awards. To take out the title two years in a row is an incredible honour.

As a family-owned, estate-grown w**ery, we're incredibly proud of what our small team has achieved. Every vine, every vintage, and every bottle represents years of hard work, and we're honoured to see that recognised.
