Hello Tiny Pride Community.

This wonderful opportunity exists to become a board member or a board observer for the Women's Health Grampians Board.

We love the work of the team at Women's Health Gramps and they're going to be a really important organisation as we design and roll out the Saturation Model.

Even better, they're at the front of the pack in terms of LGBTIQA+ inclusion, doing work with Zoe Belle, Tiny Pride and linking into Pride in Prevention. Their comms campaigns are always inclusive across the intersection and we just can't love that enough.

Deets below.

Women’s Health Grampians (WHG) is a not-for-profit organisation working to improve women and gender diverse people’s equality, health and wellbeing across the Central Highlands, Grampians Pyrenees and Wimmera areas of Victoria.

Through our programs and partnerships, we aim to end the disadvantage, discrimination and violence experienced by women and gender diverse people in our region and beyond. By addressing gender inequality, we can create stronger families and communities for everyone.

Women’s Health Grampians will have vacancies on our Board from November 2025. To complement the skills and perspectives of our current Board, we are particularly seeking Expressions of Interest from women and gender diverse people who:

- are First Nations

- have lived experience of marginalisation

- have experience in financial management and/or oversight

- have experience in cybersecurity/IT

We are also offering up to two non-voting board member positions for women interested in gaining Board experience, with a view to transitioning into a full Board role in the future.

If you have a genuine commitment to driving positive change for women and gender diverse people, live or work in the Grampians region, and would like to learn more, please contact our CEO Jennie Courtney by 16 August on 03 5322 4100.

To learn more about our work please follow us on social media and visit our website: whg.org.au

Today is LGBTQ Domestic Violence Awareness Day.

One of the biggest barriers we face as LGBTIQA+ people is that no one understands what domestic violence looks like in rainbow relationships.

So if we can't see what's happening, it's very hard for people to be believed when people share their stories.

Below is a summary of what abuse can look like.

Tomorrow is LGBTIQA+ Domestic Violence Awareness Day.
You are invited to attend a session led by the legends at Women's Health Grampians - talking about what the evidence shows about LGBTIQA+ people and how we can recognise it when it's happening to our friends or if we're experiencing it.

One of the most important things in raising awareness is not downplaying the domestic violence that happens in our community - and getting our whole community to a place where we feel confident to recognise it, can see it and believe people when they tell you what's happening.

We can all be part of the solution.

We'll have some snacks and cuppas available at:
Oscars Hotel
18 Doveton Street South, Ballarat Central
Wednesday 28 May 2025
Time: 5:30 - 7:00pm

Hope to see you there.

Dear Victorian Commissioner for LGBTIQA+ Communities

We've just donated to your fundraiser.

Best of luck getting sweaty across Pride Month in support of Rainbow Giving Australia's Sweat with Pride campaign.

We donated because Tiny Pride is one of the very lucky orgs who benefits from Rainbow Giving Australia's philanthropic efforts.

If you can spare some $$ to keep our Commissioner moving and to support the work of Rainbow Giving Australia, that would be amazing. We'd also appreciate if you boosted this post.

Donation link below: 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈❤️

I’m taking on Sweat with Pride this June to raise money for our rainbow communities! 💦🌈 Our schools, workplaces, and doctors’ offices are still not safe places for many rainbow Australians and it’s putting lives at risk.

This year’s IDAHOBIT theme was The Power of Communities. So it was wonderful to see so many friends and allies from our local Ballarat community including our local Federal MP Catherine King, Madam Mayor Tracey Hargreaves, Cr Tess Morgan, industry leaders, community and health services, schools and Council Officers there to raise the rainbow flag to mark the day with us. Your support means everything to us. ❤️🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

Happy International Day of Le***an Visibility Day.

At Tiny Pride we're proud to be launching our new tee - the Daily Le***an.

We owe so much to the Le***ans from our history - they make us who we are today and have set the pace for what it means to care for and step up for others. To bravely carve out a life and to be unapologetic in loving who we are and loving women.

This year we again highlight that le****ns come in all shapes and sizes. They come from all cultures and some of the best women in our diverse le***an community are trans women.

Today, on Trans Day of Visibility, we come together to celebrate the remarkable lives and contributions of trans people. It is a day to recognise the incredible diversity and resilience across community, and to honour the unequivocal truth that trans people have always existed throughout history.

Trans people are vibrant and essential members of our workplaces, families and friendship groups, bringing unique perspectives and talents that enrich our world. Their existence is a testament to the beauty of diversity and the strength found in authenticity

As we celebrate this day with the trans people in our lives, at Tiny Pride, we reaffirm our commitment to ensuring that all trans people can live openly and freely, with the dignity and respect they deserve.

We stand in solidarity with trans people everywhere, acknowledging their struggles and celebrating their victories. Our promise today is one that is about equality, understanding, and acceptance and ensuring that we are all working towards creating a future where every trans person can live their best life on their own terms.

We see you. We support you. Always.
