Mission Accomplished: A Historic Leap for Australia-Zambia Trade Relations!

On behalf of the Australia Zambia Business Council (AZBC), we are thrilled to announce the successful completion of our groundbreaking trade mission to Zambia’s Western Province!
Over the past few weeks, we moved beyond traditional diplomacy to witness the power of private-sector-led innovation. This was a collaborative masterclass in sustainable development and future-ready technology.
Highlights from the Mission:
World-Class Leadership: Our delegation was expertly led by Chargé d’Affaires Maya Sydney, Founder and CEO of Geo9. Her team of renowned innovators and experts bring unparalleled expertise and bespoke solutions.
Royal Engagement: We were deeply honoured to be hosted by the Barotse Royal Establishment (BRE). Our high-level discussions with the Right Honourable Ngambela, Mukela Manyando (Prime Minister of Barotseland), and a well attended KUTA [Royal Council] focused on localised developmental needs, ensuring selected projects align with the welfare of the community.
Entrepreneurial Spirit: The partnership with Barotseland Express LLC, founded by Godwin Mando Kaluwe, serves as a shining example of the private-sector excellence we aim to foster.
Innovation in Action: From renewable energy solutions to revolutionary mining valuation for financial instruments, we explored tangible ways to drive trade and investment while preserving Zambia's pristine ecosystems.
As recently highlighted by our Vice President Cranston Haankwenda, PhD, the Australia-Zambia relationship is entering a new era. This mission has proven that when experts, investors, and local authorities align, we don't just "overpromise"—we deliver.
