Not everything makes it online. The one-off pieces, the ones Sue hand-picked herself, are in-store only, and new arrivals won't all reach the website before Spinifex closes after Christmas.

So the real finds are on the shelf, not the site. Pop in often! what's here today might not be tomorrow.

Spinifex started with a drought 😳

2002 was the fourth driest year Australia had seen since 1900. In the middle of it, Sue brought her sewing machine into town and started making dresses. Then came the accessories to match. A few pieces turned into a shop. A shop turned into 25 years of finding the good stuff: art, jewellery, homewares, treasures from overseas and closer to home. All brought back to Eagle Street with an eye only Sue has.

This is her last year.

Spinifex is closing after Christmas, and everything, every last piece, is going. If there's ever been a time to come find something you won't see again, it's now.

Some things you just can't find twice. Sue's spent 25 years sourcing art, jewellery, homewares and one-off treasures from overseas and closer to home, all landing in one place on Eagle Street.

This is the last year to see it all in person. Once it's gone, that's it, nothing replaces it.
