✨ Its the end of an era ✨

As I step into my very last week of Family Day Care, I can’t help but feel a mix of emotions. After 7 beautiful years, the time has come to call it a day for Puddle Duck Lane.

This journey has been one of the greatest joys of my life. I’ve had the privilege of watching so many children grow, learn, laugh, play, and discover who they are. The muddy puddles, the friendships, the cuddles, the endless questions, the giggles, all these moments will stay with me forever.

I have poured my heart into creating a space for children to feel safe, loved, and free to be themselves. I can only hope that I’ve left a little mark on their lives, the way they’ve left a big one on mine.

To the ladies at Greater Hume childrens services and my educator friends who got me through the day to day, and inspired me with your knowledge and passion thank you.
To my community, my friends, And most importantly to my family, your support, kindness, and encouragement have meant the world to me.

And to all the families who have trusted me with your most precious little people, thank you, thank you. It has been an honour to be their "Nomi" 🤍

I am so honored to have received this news of being nominated for Educator of the Year in the Family Day Care Awards!

This recognition is a testament to the love, dedication, and hard work I put into creating a nurturing and enriching environment for the little people in care.

A heartfelt thank you to all the families who have entrusted me with their most precious children. Your support and trust mean the world to me.

I am so lucky to get to do what i do each day and I am incredibly grateful for this acknowledgment.

We are on the look out for play farm equipment.

Do you have old farm toys that need a new home? I'm a local family day care educator and I have some children in my care who are absolutely fascinated by farm play atm. We already have a wonderful collection of toy animals, but we're looking to expand our farm play set with items like tractors, fencing, barns, and any other farm-related toys.

In trying to reduce our footprint we are looking to reuse and recycle, so if you have any of these items that are no longer needed, we'd be thrilled to give them a second life! You'd be supporting a group of enthusiastic little ones who will love and cherish these toys.

Today marks 5 years of Puddle Duck Lane - Family Day Care !!!

They say that after five years of business that you have officially made it.

But for me it's been...
~ Every smile, every giggle, every laugh
~ It's every connection made, with one another and the environment.
~ Its a budding connection that turns into a special friendship,
~ It's every special leaf or shiny rock that children bring to show me with wonder and delight,
~ It's the "I did it" or "I've got this"
~ It's every growth
~ It's every development
~ It's every wonderful incredibly unique child.....
..... that to me is how I know Iv made it

We were very fortunate to find some frogs spawn in a pond over the weekend (See the white bubbles in the first pic).
They were only going to be eaten up by the fish in the pond so we collected some and bought them home to watch they grow and transform into frogs.
The children have been very excited this morning watching the tadpoles swim around in the tank, continually coming back to "check on them".

We have been discussing lots of life cycles recently having found cicadas and butterflies in our garden.
I'm very excited for the children to be able to watch and experience the metamorphosis in real life.
