🏡 Property, people, powerful connections… and a little golf! ⛳🤝

Another fantastic Wednesday morning at BNI Prime Norwest, where local business owners came together to share knowledge, strengthen relationships and create new opportunities!

Our Feature Presenter was Jenny Graves, Principal Solicitor at Jenlegal, who took us behind the scenes of property law and the importance of having the right legal expertise when making some of life’s biggest financial decisions.

With over 40 years of experience, Jenny shared real-life examples of how her attention to detail has helped clients avoid potentially costly mistakes.

🏘️ From identifying proposed special levies of over $86,000 on a strata property to uncovering a power line easement that significantly restricted how land could be used, Jenny demonstrated why doing your homework before signing a property contract really matters!

She also gave us an insight into her work across conveyancing, commercial and retail leasing, wills and estates, and notarial services.

What stood out was Jenny’s personalised approach, being there for her clients from start to finish, offering flexibility and helping make even the biggest transactions feel less overwhelming.

🎓 Our education piece came from Christine Muscat of CLM Solutions, who also contributed to another morning of learning and professional development. More on her insights to come!

⛳ And there was some excitement in the room about golf!

We were delighted to welcome Rebecca Raad, our Regional Executive Director, alongside Jean-Pierre Chaina from Chaina & Sim Lawyers, a fellow BNI member and Major Sponsor of the upcoming Charity Collective Golf Day.

Their enthusiasm certainly got everyone excited about an opportunity to come together, strengthen connections and support a great cause! 🏌️‍♂️

🤝 46 years of experience, better connections and a new chapter for BNI Prime!

What a way to kick off the final quarter of the year at BNI Prime Norwest!

Our Feature Presenter, Frank Teager from Access Corporate Finance, took us into the world of asset finance, backed by an incredible 46 years in the industry.

Frank shared his journey, the changes he’s witnessed over the decades and, most importantly, the philosophy that has remained at the heart of his business: he works for his clients, not the lenders.

With access to multiple lenders, Frank explained how he looks beyond a one-size-fits-all solution to find finance that genuinely suits each client’s circumstances. From equipment and vehicle finance to novated leasing, chattel mortgages and commercial lending, the room got a much better understanding of just how many ways Frank can help.

But what stood out wasn’t only his experience, it was the genuine care and passion he still has for getting the right outcome for the person sitting in front of him. ❤️

🎓 We also welcomed Ankit Gandhi from Jim’s Building Inspections into his new role as our Education Coordinator, delivering his first education piece of the new BNI year!

His topic? Becoming Master Connectors. 🔗

Ankit reminded us that great networking isn’t about collecting business cards. It’s about intentionally getting to know people, using our one-to-ones to understand their businesses and becoming better at recognising opportunities to connect and refer one another.

And he left us with a challenge: choose someone in the room and book that next one-to-one. Simple, but that’s where relationships begin.

🏆 Golden Mic: Congratulations to John Dale from GlobileNet, who delivered a fantastic 60-second pitch by clearly communicating the solution and transformation he creates for his clients.

🎁 Lucky Door Prize: Congratulations to Aboorva Sundar from Sun Legal for the connections and networking happening beyond the formal meeting.

We also want to give a huge THANK YOU to our outgoing Leadership Team. ❤️ These roles are volunteered, and there’s an enormous amount of work that happens both inside the meeting and behind the scenes. 🥕 Carrots, skincare, connections… there was a LOT happening at BNI Prime this morning!

Another power-packed Wednesday at BNI Prime Norwest, with a room full of members, visitors and substitutes coming together bright and early to learn, connect and help each other grow. 🤝

🌿 Our Feature Presenter was our resident Health Champion, Casey Zhang from USANA, who this week turned our attention to something we all live in every single day, our skin!

Casey spoke about the many factors that can influence our skin, from UV exposure and pollution to diet, smoking, sleep and the products we choose to use. She introduced us to USANA’s Celavive Cellular Skincare Collection and walked us through four stages of a skincare routine: cleansing, prepping, correcting and hydrating.

She also spoke about ingredient choices, research behind the range and, importantly, reminded everyone of something particularly relevant here in Australia, don’t forget the sunscreen! ☀️

What we always love about Casey is the passion she brings to conversations about health and her desire to encourage people, including very busy business owners, to think more intentionally about looking after themselves.

🎓 Raj Mudely from DSM Accounting then delivered a brilliant education piece about something at the heart of BNI: the value of visitors.

His message was simple, never underestimate who could benefit from being in the room.

A visitor doesn’t necessarily need to be ready to join BNI or even own a business. They may meet the exact professional they need, make an introduction for somebody else or create an opportunity nobody could have predicted.

Raj encouraged us to develop an inviting mindset, particularly as we embrace BNI’s Master Connector campaign. Sometimes one invitation can create a connection that travels much further than you expected. 🔗

And then came our winners…

🎤 Golden Mic — Sarah Deepti from DB Media, who successfully accepted Ankit’s challenge of incorporating the word “carrot” into her 60-second referral pitch. Apparently vegetables do have a place in business networking. 🥕😂

🎁 Lucky Door Prize — Vera Chin from Vera Chin Consulting, recognised for the fantastic relationship-building and networking she continues to do behind the scenes. Congratulations Vera!

❤️ It was also wonderful to welcome our President Norah Copithorne back after spending time overseas with family.

🏡 Excellent presentations. Wonderful connections. And close to $1 MILLION in business passed!

Another fantastic Wednesday morning at BNI Prime Norwest, members, visitors and substitutes filling the room for another morning of learning, referrals and genuine business connections.

🎤 Our Feature Presenter this week was Wilson Tong from TPSM, who gave us a deeper look into what great property management really involves.

Wilson spoke about the work that happens behind the scenes to look after his clients and their properties, from staying on top of the details and communicating with owners and tenants, to managing issues when they arise and helping take the stress out of owning an investment property.

His presentation was a great reminder that property management isn’t simply about managing a property, it’s about managing relationships, protecting an important asset and giving owners confidence that someone is looking after the details. 🏠

🏆 Our Golden Mic went to Ankit Gandhi, who delivered an excellent 60-second pitch while cleverly incorporating this week’s words “manage” and “management.” Challenge accepted and very well executed!

🎁 And our Lucky Door Prize went to Mirza Baig from Flair Real Estate, recognising the valuable networking and relationship-building happening outside the formal meeting.

But one of the most exciting numbers this week wasn’t about property…

💰 BNI Prime is now getting very close to $1 MILLION in closed business passed between members over the past year!

That number represents more than revenue. Behind it are introductions, referrals, conversations, trust and business owners actively looking for opportunities to help one another grow.

It was also fantastic to have visitors and substitutes in the room adding new energy and new connections to the morning. ❤️
