This winter at TREAND Kitchen & Cellar Door will feel a little different for us.

We’re slowing things down a little. The menu will be shorter, the food simple and comforting, and the focus will be on sharing our wines in a way that feels relaxed, easy and unpretentious.

Maybe that’s starting with a tasting and a cheese plate to share, settling in with a glass of red alongside our slow cooked beef cheeks, or treating yourself with a decadent chocolate pudding and homemade ice cream.

We want this winter to feel warm, welcoming and a little more personal — somewhere you can pop in for a glass of wine, stay longer than you planned and just enjoy good food, good wine and good company.

We hope to see you at TREAND ❤️

This winter will be a little different in the cellar door.

Dad is taking a break to focus on his health and the girls are taking over!

The menu will be shorter with a focus on showcasing our wines with tasting experiences that are relaxed and unpretentious. Add a cheese plate, pair it with a slow cooked beef cheek or maybe a decadent chocolate pudding and that delicious vanilla ice cream 🫶

The service will be friendly as always and you will be welcomed warmly as we move into this winter version of TREAND.

Thank you as always for your support x

PS We are taking a short break and will reopen on Thursday 11 June.

Love how many mentions there are of the businesses located here in Baxter! 🫶

This is such a great reminder for us all to support the small family owned businesses we have around here!

Righto gang, serious question, when did we all collectively decide the only shopping experience left in life was either a giant warehouse where you need a GPS and emotional support just to find socks, OR ordering random crap online at 11:47pm while lying in bed looking like a dropped pie.

The amount of bloody awesome small businesses we’ve got on this peninsula is unreal and winter is the rough season for a lot of them. Once the tourists disappear and the weather turns feral, it’s us locals keeping the lights on and the coffee machines breathing.

So I wanna do a proper shoutout post. Tag your favourite small business below and tell me WHY you love them. Could be a café, butcher, gift shop, tradies, pub, bakery, hairdresser, mechanic, candle joint, plant place, whatever. I wanna hear the stories. My butcher is Cliffex meats in rosey or when I’m in somie Somerville Village Meats

Maybe your local café remembers your coffee order before your own husband does. Maybe your butcher calls you “legend” while handing over 14 sausages and a tray of rissoles like you’re preparing for the apocalypse. Maybe the lady at the gift shop has personally saved your arse 6 times before birthdays you forgot existed.

Read the comments too because honestly some of the best places are the tiny little hidden gems tucked between a v**e shop and an abandoned real estate office with three faded SOLD stickers from 2021.

My newest favourite is Evergreen Clothing in Mornington. Finally found a shop that sells clothes for mums who still wanna look semi-cool without dressing like either a corporate accountant or a 19-year-old Coachella influencer on ketamine. I walked in for “a quick look” and walked out looking like I own crystals and know how to make sourdough.

Honestly support the little guys where you can. The big chains will survive the winter. Lisa Scents from the Heart Candles selling homemade candles out of a tiny shop next to a fish and chipper probably needs us more than Kmart does.

Now go on. Tag your favourites and let’s accidentally bankrupt ourselves supporting local legends.

Btw, my lashes look this good because of Beauty Society Mornington by Dannah Chaise and my fresh facial by Beauty Exposed Boutique

Stay Unhinged, Legends ✌🏼

With 3 weeks of Autumn left and some beautiful weather forecast for the next couple of days it is the perfect time to visit the cellar door at TREAND.

Open for wine tastings and lunch from 1130am onwards Thursday to Sunday.

🍂 Autumn Special at TREAND 🍷

With everything happening in the world right now — and the cost of, well… everything rising — we wanted to create something truly delicious that also feels like great value. 🤍

Every Thursday & Friday you can now enjoy lunch for two with a bottle of wine for just $98.

Settle in and share a beautiful slow-cooked lamb dish, served to the table with a silky herb & pea purée and gorgeous confit tomatoes. Paired perfectly with a bottle of our newly released Rosso — a soft, fruity red that isn’t too heavy and is just right for a relaxed lunch. 🍇✨

Unhurried, generous, and made for sharing.

Available Thursdays & Fridays — bookings recommended.

Have you tried this lamb yet? … it is great value and has been very popular this autumn 🍂

This winter, TREAND is opening its doors in a slightly different way for a season.

The focus will be on relaxed wine tastings — less formal, more conversational — the kind of experience that invites you to slow down, settle in with a glass of wine, and perhaps share a plate or two from the kitchen along the way.

Our menu will be simple, fresh, and shaped by local produce. Some familiar favourites will return, alongside new dishes that will appear as we settle in for this season.

Whether you stop by for a tasting, join us for a glass of wine, or settle in for lunch, TREAND will remain a place to linger a little longer this winter.

Bookings are now available from 12 June onwards via the link below in the first comment, and of course walk-ins will always be welcomed when possible. 🍷🌿

In the meantime, it will be business as usual for the rest of May 🍷🍴
