When concrete blows out on a bored pier, the instinct is to reach for a hydraulic hammer. That instinct is wrong.
Impact transfers shock into the structure. In foundations, basements, and shaft construction, the stakes are higher - the surface needs to be correctly profiled before shotcrete or wall finishing can proceed. Get it wrong and you compromise foundation integrity and project delays.
A drum cutter removes only what needs to come off. Rotary cutting action, no shock load, surface left ready for the next stage.
The clip above: blown-out concrete on bored piers, ground back to profile on a basement dig .
No structural damage.
Surface ready for shotcrete.
Programme continues.
Focus configures drum cutters to excavators from 3.5T to 50T - matched to the carrier, the material, and the job.
Go ahead and dig.®
