I’ve properly made the move now 😊

After a period of consulting to Billson’s I am pleased to have joined the business in a full-time capacity as Marketing Manager. I lead an incredible team of really energetic and clever marketing professionals and work within a great company culture. We have some super-exciting projects on the go!

It was a hard decision to leave my consulting work and all the opportunities that has offered me. I’ll continue to be a passionate advocate for economic development and innovation in our region, and I’ll continue contributing to brilliant food and drink experiences for visitors. Just wearing a different hat these days!

I’m so grateful for all the clients I’ve worked with and networks you’ve helped me build since moving here. See you for a chocolate whiskey in Beechworth sometime soon 🥃

‘There's always one know-it-all on a winery tour. The woman in question sips from her glass of fresh-from-the-barrel red, then holds it up to the light. ‘It’s very purple,’ she announces. ‘I’m getting notes of eucalyptus and green hay.’ Then she points to the wine-coloured stain on the wooden slats of the barrel we’re sampling. ‘Is that a sign of oxidation?’ she asks. ‘No,’ replies vineyard owner Fred Pizzini, not missing a beat. ‘That would be a sign the barrel leaks.

James Litston sips his way through King Valley, sampling fizz from Pizzini Wines and Dal Zotto Wines. He says it's the region's 'unpretentious hospitality' that sets it apart from others.

Last year I helped Jones Winery & Vineyard reconsider their cellar door offering, implementing some casual options for drop-in dining. Because with a great spot and great wine, you'd want to hang around for a bit!

If you’re not, you might find that your audiences are.

Emoji have become the new body language at a time when seeing someone in person is either strongly discouraged or involves having half your face covered.
