We’ve had two fantastic presentations this morning, highlighting some of the practical opportunities and support available to businesses across the Bega Valley.

🌱 Bega Circular Valley – Rethinking How We Do Business

Bega Circular Valley challenged us to think beyond recycling and explore the 10 Rs of circularity.

From making smarter purchasing decisions and keeping resources in use for longer to reducing waste and collaborating with other local businesses, circular thinking can create real opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency.

A great reminder that sustainability and good business practices can go hand in hand!

🤝 Service NSW Business Bureau – Support for Every Stage of Business

We also heard from Kiara Ferguson, Business Concierge, about the range of free support and resources available to NSW businesses.

Whether it’s navigating licences and regulations, accessing business planning and marketing resources, exploring growth opportunities or getting assistance during challenging times, the Business Concierge service can help businesses find the right information and support.

💡 The key takeaway? There are opportunities to work smarter, reduce costs and access valuable support — sometimes it’s simply about knowing what’s available and who to connect with.

We’ve just heard from Michael Miller, Director Mediation Services at the NSW Small Business Commission, at today’s Bega Valley Business Expo.

Michael shared some valuable insights into how the Commission supports small businesses across NSW, from helping resolve business disputes to providing practical guidance and assistance when challenges arise.

It’s a great reminder that small businesses don’t have to navigate every challenge alone — there are services and resources available to help.
