Here's the science made simple: horses are natural fibre fermenters. Long-stem fibre like pasture and hay is fantastic, but highly fermentable super fibres (like lupin hulls and soy hulls) take it a step further — stimulating hindgut fermentation to produce volatile fatty acids (VFAs), a horse's natural, fat-based energy source. The result is sustained, "cool" energy — nothing like the heat and fizz that comes from grain and starch-heavy feeds. 🌿
