Book in your annual heater service before the WINTER RUSH!

Did you know that gas appliances, including heaters, need to be serviced regularly to maintain safe gas levels, to keep them running efficiently, and to ensure their longevity? Very much like a car service 🙂. With proper care and maintenance, they can last for many years.

NOTE: A service does NOT mean a CLEAN. Before you get your service booked in ALWAYS ask the technician what the service involves. A service should last anywhere between 1 to 2 hours and MUST include a gas leak and gas pressure test.

To ensure their longevity, and your safety, we recommend servicing and checking your heater yearly, before or after winter. We service and repair portable gas heaters, fireplaces, log fires, gas ducted systems, gas spa/pool heaters as well as any other gas appliance you may have. We can also install and convert your gas appliances.

Massive undertaking for the Durable Gas team.
The installation of five 7500 litre LPG tanks- 2 manifold systems and one single system. Over 300 meters of 50mm fusion welded MDPE high pressure gas lines. The installation of three concrete slabs. The manifold systems including a new regulator and pressure relief valve. We set the gas lines to suit each installation so the pressures vary. At the end, we installed over 68 bollards as vehicle protection.
An absolutely huge effort for each Durable boy- we each worked on it at different stages. Amazing effort!

The second and final stage of this Type B gas appliance installation and certification in a mobile food van trailer. After replacing the gas to make compliant we installed the pizza oven, made a few touch ups to the installation we did the previous month, including some information plates and safety signs, finally we adjusted the aeration until it was burning with 16ppm carbon monoxide and 18% oxygen at the flue terminal. Absolutely perfect combustion. We commissioned it. Time for certification.

Restoration of an old boiler unit and radiators

The Durable team put in a massive effort in the removal of these old beige radiators and boiler unit. We got the radiators powder coated black and reinstalled, and supplied a new Hunt natural gas boiler with a stainless-steel heat exchanger condensing unit and a magnetic cleaning system. Top of the line unit.

The largest radiator was 1.8 meters long and weighed 345kg. Luckily, that one wasn’t on the top floor! 14 radiators were replaced in total. Massive effort by Dean, Mathew and Rohan. Thank you, boys.

The team installing an LPG enclosure on a trailer and reinstalling a new gas line (installed by a previous plumber and far from compliant) to a pizza oven. We found that the cylinder location was way too close to an opening into the trailer and that all the pipework and fittings installed were non-compliant for a mobile vehicle. The Durable team brought it up to speed and it’s now functioning properly, safely and compliant. The pizza oven is yet to be installed so stay tuned!
