RMG Engineers Joel Bish and Joe Wilkins were at the official opening of the upgraded Bendigo Showgrounds & Events Centre Friday morning.

We provided structural and civil engineering services for the project, delivered by Nicholson Construction and Development Victoria in partnership with Sport and Recreation Victoria. The works include a new multipurpose function and events centre, a redeveloped arena, LED lighting, upgraded entrances and new parking. The works were carefully staged around the showgrounds’ events calendar for activity on site to be carried on as normal throughout construction.

We’re proud to have helped shape a venue that will serve our community for generations. Congratulations to all involved.

RMG's Property and Buildings Project Management team has recently wrapped up six years of work with Cladding Safety Victoria - one of the most significant building safety programs ever undertaken in Australia.

As independent project managers, RMG oversaw combustible cladding rectification across more than 50 buildings throughout Melbourne, taking each from design all the way through to completion. The program has now removed more combustible cladding than anywhere else in Australia which means safer homes for thousands of residents.

A huge congratulations to Carey Ashby, David Hogan, and Sam Walker (pictured) as well as our team during the project Ben Priest, Bruce Seccombe, Sam Shinners, Grace Hiney, Jennifer Au and Jay Long for their commitment to this program over the long haul.

Delivering a $9.5M investment into regional education, RMG partnered with the Victorian School Building Authority to bring Wedderburn College into its next chapter.

The project delivered a new 217 sqm science block with biology and integrated science labs, alongside a food technology teaching space, upgraded gymnasium and extensive external play areas and landscaping, with all construction managed within a live campus environment.

There has been a lot happening over the last few months at RMG and we are excited to announce some new team members who have recently joined RMG. Akul Singh and Derrick Chella have joined our Ballarat office with the civil design team in transport, Anastasia Tarasova has joined our structural engineering team in our Melbourne office and Colby Madill has returned to our transport and water project management teams in Bendigo. They will be working on projects throughout Victoria further strengthening our engineering and project management capability.

Some of our Bendigo team took part in the annual Bendigo Ford Fun Run again this year. It is always a great opportunity to be part of such a strong community event and to see local businesses getting involved.
