When Melinda’s writing, crafting, weaving word pictures, she’s in her happy place.

If writing beautiful content is NOT one of your natural talents (ie the thought of having to write that eBook or white paper makes you want to deep clean the bathroom, meal-prep for a month, and prioritise anything before you sit down at the keyboard!) do yourself a favour and reach out for a free curiosity call with Melinda.

Handball your least-loved business task to someone who’ll love doing it and create the message you want to share – sounds like a win win!

If a picture is worth 1000 words… what words come to mind when you look at this one?

We create images to help capture your strengths in a simple, portable, sharable way. Your strengths inform the image as does your own interpretation of how those strengths show up in you.

What do you think this says about the strengths of the person this was created for???

What’s the word for…?

One of the hints of a talent is ‘a hint of satisfaction’. If we’d know this years ago, Melinda wouldn’t have taken so long to focus on writing. You see, creating a document or a report has always been a source of satisfaction for her. She’d seek out chances to compile information for us and put her hand up to write the summary and would deliver the finished product with a flourish of pride.

Yes, finding the words was the clue she needed. Thank goodness she worked it out before it was too late to really flex that talent!

Need a hand crafting a message? Want to tell a story? Perhaps you need to do an eBook for your business website to share some of that brilliance of yours?

If you need someone to craft your message, contact us and let’s chat. Let’s find YOUR words!

Attention perfectionists!

Here’s why you want to aim for better, not best.

You’ve heard the glib sayings.
Aim for 80%
Better done than perfect.

The one I hate the most? That perfectionism is a character flaw. Not that I’m going to get into a debate on that, there are more than two sides to this story and let’s just agree that it’s NOT the thing to share in an interview as your greatest strength!

We shared out thoughts on why our aim is always for better, not best in our blog earlier this year. What do you think???

Why be better when you could aim to be your best? After all, who doesn’t want to ‘live their best life’? Aren’t we all trying to ‘be the very best we can be’? We’re glad you asked! The first answer is a simple one. Thrillingly for

We’ve long been sounding boards for one another. Our (very) different styles and personalities are what make us a strong partnership. Our interests and skills and talents overlap significantly but where we diverge, well, that’s where the fun begins!

When Melinda wrote the early draft of the essay that ended up as Chapter 2 in the #1 international bestseller Lead With Love, the first person she shared the draft with was, of course, Melissa.

The unexpectedly honest story prompted an equally vulnerable outpouring in response. Despite professing to be a picture-person and not a writer... Melissa’s beautiful word picture just had to be shared with all of you as well.

Enjoy.

In one way or another we’ve both always been word nerds — thank goodness for ours CliftonStrengths profile that allowed us to own it with great pride!

That said… our AI-generated images stopped us in our tracks. They captured complex and lengthy ideas so completely and succinctly that we couldn’t look away.

Ah… This is why naming your strengths matters.

Just like a powerful image can bring an abstract idea to life, naming your CliftonStrengths makes your unique talents visible, real, and actionable.

Want to see yourself and like who you see? Reach out for a free curiosity call and discover why naming your strengths (and creating your image) is a game-changer!

Leaders often know their team members better than anyone. But do they understand why individuals behave the way they do, what motivates them, or when they perform at their best?

Strengths-based development transforms a group of individuals into an inclusive, aligned and collaborative team. When diverse strengths are used collectively, the result is a powerful formula for high performance. The impact is clear: teams that focus on strengths see 23% higher employee engagement, 73% lower attrition and an 18% increase in performance.

Discover how leaders can maximize team effectiveness through the power of strengths.

We didn’t need a formal assessment to tell us that Melissa is a natural artist. When surrounded by paint and paper she loses hours in blissful creation.

Flow is “a state in which people are so involved in an activity that nothing else seems to matter; the experience is so enjoyable that people will continue to do it even at great cost, for the sheer sake of doing it” (Csikszentmihaly 1990)

Flow is one of the five clues to a talent. What are you doing when you find yourself in flow?

Know your strengths, know thyself...

What’s your leadership style?

Every great leader has asked this question. Your leadership style shapes how you make decisions, engage with your team and drive results.
Effective leadership has a lot to do with inspiring, aligning and then activating -- but it doesn't end there. Each leadership style has the potential to achieve excellence in its unique way. While leaders may aim for similar outcomes, the path they take is defined by their individual strengths. Discover more through the link below.
