I Haven’t Shared This Before. Not Like This
I’ve never shared this part of my story before.
Not the polished version. The real one.
The one that built me.
If you’ve ever felt like life’s stacked against you, or like you’re carrying the weight of proving everyone wrong, this is for you.
Because no matter where you start, you can change everything.
I grew up in a small country town where everyone knew what you’d done before you’d even done it.
I was the eldest of ten, raised in Housing Commission. Life wasn’t safe or easy. We moved constantly, sometimes overnight, and I learned early that nothing in life was guaranteed.
Mum didn’t work. Nana held us together.
We didn’t have money, stability, or safety nets.
Just noise, survival, and the hope that one day, life might feel different.
I used to lie awake wondering why life felt so heavy, why some people seemed to have it all while others were just trying to make it through the week.
But deep down, I knew I was never going to settle for that life.
Even as a kid, I wanted more.
Not more money. More peace. More safety. More freedom.
When I bought my first property, I thought I’d made it.
But I bought a lemon.
We were uneducated, unprepared, and completely out of our depth.
It nearly broke us financially and emotionally.
That moment could’ve been the end. But it wasn’t.
It became the fire.
Because I realised if this could happen to me, it was happening to thousands of others.
Hardworking people just trying to get ahead, making decisions they didn’t fully understand.
I decided then that I was going to be the person I needed back then.
The one who could’ve stopped me from learning the hard way.
At the time, I was a nurse. I was saving lives every day but losing my own family in the process.
One night, I came home from a long shift and my son looked at me and said,
“Mum, you missed it. You promised.”
He’d scored his first basketball goal.
And I wasn’t there.
That one line broke something in me.
Because I realised time is the one thing you can’t buy back.
And I was spending mine saving everyone but the people who needed me most.
That night, I made a decision.
I was done living for survival.
I was going to build a life worth living, one that gave my family the moments I’d never had.
Starting SBA Buyers Agency wasn’t glamorous.
It was built between school drop-offs and tears at the kitchen table.
Jordon worked himself into the ground so I could chase the dream. There were days I thought I’d broken both of us.
But every time I wanted to quit, I thought about that little girl,
the one who was told she’d be nothing,
the one who just wanted someone in her corner.
I kept going for her.
For my boys.
For every person who’s been underestimated, overlooked, or told they weren’t good enough.
I built SBA Buyers Agency to protect people because I know what it’s like when no one protects you.
To give people peace of mind in one of life’s biggest decisions.
To help them build wealth with honesty, not manipulation.
I don’t sell dreams. I protect them.
And I’ll always tell you the truth, even if it costs me the deal.
Because people don’t just need a buyer’s agent.
They need someone in their corner who genuinely gives a damn.
I do this for that little girl who once doubted she could.
I do it for my boys, so they know love looks like showing up.
And I do it for Jordon, the man who carried the weight when the dream felt too heavy.
We’ve built this together, brick by brick, business by business, heart by heart.
Because your past doesn’t define you. Your decisions do.
I’m not just building a business.
I’m building a movement, one that proves you can come from nothing, stand for something, and build everything.
Because everyone deserves someone in their corner, and I’ll be that person. Always.
