Calling young songwriters!

Songwriting Clinic at The Stereo Room is a weekly session for young songwriters who want to develop their craft, find their creative voice, and write better songs.

Explore lyrics, melody, chord progressions, song structure, storytelling and arrangement in a relaxed, supportive environment.

You'll workshop ideas, receive constructive feedback, and discover new techniques used by popular songwriters.

Whether you're writing your very first song or already have a collection of originals, Songwriting Clinic is designed to help you flesh out ideas and enhance your skills.

6 consecutive weeks, starting 6 August, 2026.

The Stereo Room in Bermagui is offering a weekly after-school band session for kids aged 10-12 during term 3, 2026.

In a small group of 6, kids will learn what it's really like to play in a band - rehearsing together, developing songs, building confidence and having fun making music with others.

No experience playing in a band is necessary.

We'll help every young musician find their place, whether they sing, play guitar, bass, keyboard or are just beginning their musical exploration.

8 consecutive weeks, starting on 29 July, 2026.

🎶 Weekly after-school sessions on a Wednesday, 4.00 - 5.30pm

This Masterclass Mini offers a practical and achievable approach to marketing for creative businesses, artists and community events.

Learn how to identify, reach and maintain organic, lasting relationships with your audience using a variety of marketing tools - no matter how small your budget.

This informative and enjoyable 3 hour session will cover everything from creating impactful printed materials and an engaging online presence, to talking to media and leveraging community networks.

Presenter Kate Howarth has been working in the arts sector as a marketing and events specialist for over 20 years. Her agency Kate Howarth Digital has award-winning clients from all walks of life, from national arts institutions to community groups, artists and thriving small businesses across a diverse range of sectors.

Participants are encouraged to bring along their own marketing bugbears to workshop during the session.

The Stereo Room is open for business! Video coming soon, but here is a sneak peek.

Located in Bermagui, this new venue is a cosy and inspiring space to learn guitar and explore the craft of songwriting.

We particularly encourage adults to join us.

If you have always wanted to learn to play guitar, or are already writing songs but need some feedback, direction and tips, now is the perfect time.

We’ve had a lot of interest from younger students aged 12 – 14, so don’t hesitate to get in touch to discuss your child getting lessons. Places are limited.

Director Jazz Williams has been providing music and songwriting tuition for 20 years and welcomes new students to The Stereo Room. You don’t need to play an instrument or know any music theory to get started. Instruments can be provided for lessons.

The Stereo Room is now taking bookings for guitar lessons in Bermagui for beginners and intermediate players.

Lessons provide practical techniques and musical understanding, whether you’re completely new to music, an emerging artist or returning after a long break. Adults are particularly encouraged to enrol!

Lessons introduce core skills gradually, combining guitar technique, chords, rhythm, performance and music theory.

Introducing our first ever Masterclass Mini!

Hosted by The Stereo Room | Presented by Scott Baker (Bioluminescence)

This Masterclass Mini offers a practical introduction to electronic music production, led by local producer and electronic musician Scott Baker.

Designed for beginners and curious musicians, the session provides a hands-on entry point into creating electronic music using Ableton Note, an accessible iOS app that introduces core production concepts in a simple, intuitive way.

Participants will explore beat-making, basic synthesis and track structure, learning how electronic music is built and how ideas can be shaped into complete pieces.

All equipment is provided, and no previous experience is required.

Each Masterclass Mini is shaped around a specific skill, discipline or creative process, responding to gaps in access to specialist knowledge, training and industry experience – particularly within regional contexts.

Sessions feature guest facilitators from within and beyond South East NSW, alongside programs led by The Stereo Room.
