As some of you may know, I had recently started operating Slatefield Agricultural Consultancy again part time.

As many of you know, agronomy was and is still my passion.

Recently, following on from my journey into Real Estate, I was introduced to the team at Delta Agribusiness and have now taken on the role of Agronomist, based out of Cooma which I started on Monday 6th March 2023.

Thank you to Delta Agribusiness for this huge opportunity.

I hoped that I might never have to make this announcement. After a very short tenure, I have to make the call to close Slatefield Agricultural Consultancy.

As most of you are aware, I am a mother to 3 little ratbags, a Real Estate and Livestock agent for 3 days of the week as well as a book keeper for my husbands business. This has meant that I have not been able to dedicate myself properly to consultancy and I would much rather not do a job than to do it poorly.

To all who have supported me along the way, I can not thank you enough. This may not be forever, but for now, I have to make my priority my family.

Have you got your paddock plans done for the coming season?
It may seem silly to be planning for the season when fishing seems like the more sensible option with the amounts of rain we have been having but planning in a year like this is pivotal!
With weeds popping up in areas where they have not traditionally been found, it is important to have a plan of management in place for when we can actually get on a paddock again.

An interesting one today, Chrysolina beetles.

These little guys are a biological control for St John’s Wort and are doing a dynamite 🧨 job in this particular situation!

This offers us another option for an IPM system.
