National Reconciliation Week takes place from 27 May to 3 June 2026. These dates recognise two significant milestones in Australia’s reconciliation journey — the successful 1967 Referendum and the High Court’s Mabo decision.
Reconciliation is about building stronger relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous Australians, grounded in respect, understanding, and shared responsibility.
We recognise the enduring impact of Australia’s history on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and acknowledge the importance of continued learning, listening, and meaningful action in advancing reconciliation. While progress has been made, reconciliation is an ongoing journey that calls on all Australians to contribute to a more inclusive and equitable future.
A reconciled Australia is one where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have equitable access to opportunities, outcomes, and self-determination, and where culture, history, and connection to Country are recognised and respected.
At Art Processors & Pladia, we are committed to supporting reconciliation through the work we do and the way we work together.
We are proud to support thetorchvic in bringing Confined 17 (pictured) to life through a digital experience powered by Pladia.
Now open in Melbourne, Australia, Confined 17 showcases the work of 424 First Peoples artists with lived experience of incarceration in Victoria. Across the gallery, 501 artworks explore themes of kinship, healing, ancestral stories and life journeys, spanning both traditional and contemporary practices.
Through the browser-based app, visitors can browse, listen, purchase artworks, and connect more deeply with the stories and themes behind each piece.
If you’re looking for meaningful ways to take action this National Reconciliation Week, we invite you to explore and purchase an artwork from Confined 17 through Pladia or visit the exhibition in person at Glen Eira City Council Gallery, Caulfield.
