The morning walk we take to let out the animals usually end up with some time inspecting the wetland we designed and built here. Maybe my favourite part is the volunteer sandpaper fig that seems super happy in its home; a sign that things are working as they should

Winter gardening, but feeling like spring!

We create our own compost on mass here at Figlea and use it when planting to improve soil structure and drainage (amongst other reasons) as the soil is heavy here, and it’s bloody wet so drainage is key. A bonus is we get a heap of little volunteer plants popping up everywhere around our new plants - most edible. Lets call that permaculture hey!

The Aloes in this natural pool landscape we created have started to get there first blooms on this winter. The current drier conditions here work for these guys. Can we help you create some something amazing?
