Look at your wedding day like a cake. Make sure you have all the main ingredients first — the celebrant, groom, bride, and two witnesses. Then think about what you want to add on top: the venue, flowers, cars, food, hair and makeup, photographer/videographer, favours, DJ — all the beautiful icing that makes the day uniquely yours.
But take a moment to look at the extras and decide what you truly need. At the heart of it all, it’s about the love between the two of you first and foremost. Everything else is just frosting.
