Twenty years with the OPS Group is a milestone worth stopping for, and that milestone belongs to Ryan Witney.

Ryan started out as a parts interpreter and has worked his way through to Group Parts and Warehousing Manager, and along the way has had a hand in reshaping how parts and warehousing operate across the country. He has refined processes, tightened systems and quietly set the standard for much of how we operate in this space today. Beyond the parts department, Ryan has also been a driving force behind the growth of our IT and systems over the years, often solving problems before most of the business even realises there is one.

Twenty years of showing up and giving everything you have got to the people around you is something to be genuinely proud of. Thank you Ryan for your consistent dedication to our customers and the OPS Group team. It does not go unnoticed.

Not your average desk paperweight.

A 1:20 scale model of the Finlay 883+ has taken up permanent residence in the boardroom at our Bibra Lake facility, and it is fair to say it has already become a talking point. There is something about having a scale model of a machine you work with every day sitting at the centre of our conversations that puts the size and capability of the real thing into perspective, and the 883+ is a machine worth having on display.

Wouldn't you like one of these sitting on your desk?

Behind every growing business are people who show up every single day and give everything they have got. Today we are proud to recognise one of ours with our Employee of the Year award.

Julie Hannington has been with us for nine years, and across a period that has seen the business grow significantly, she has been one of the people quietly making sure everything holds together behind the scenes. What stands out about Julie is the standard she holds herself to. She brings a relentless level of quality and care to everything she does, and that consistency has made her one of the most dependable and valued members of the team.

Congratulations Julie, nine years of this deserves to be celebrated properly. Thank you for everything.

We are thrilled to welcome Adam Gordon to the OPS Group as our new General Manager.

For many of us, Adam isn't a new face. Over the years he has sat on the other side of the table as a key partner, and during that time built a deep understanding of our products, our people and what our customers actually need in the field.

Adam started his career as an apprentice boilermaker with Mawsons in Victoria, working his way through project management and quarry management across multiple sites over 14 years. From there he spent a decade at Delta Group building a contract crushing division from the ground up — growing it to 11 plants and 107 staff alongside a concrete recycling business, before finishing as National Operations Manager. Most recently, Adam spent 16 years at Astec Australia, progressing from Regional Account Manager through to Director of Sales and Business Line Manager for Materials Solutions.

With an intimate knowledge of our customer requirements and serious technical knowhow across our product range, Adam will lead the product and technical side of our business, driving better solutions for our customers and our team.

Please join us in welcoming Adam to the OPS Group

A Finlay 893+ heading to site, with the OPS Northern Territory service team close behind.

This machine has been through a full suite of mine spec modifications and upgrades ahead of deployment into a Tier 1 mining operation, where it will be running hard on high production 24 hour shifts. Getting a machine to this standard before it hits the ground takes a significant amount of preparation, and the work that goes into the pre delivery process is what gives our customers the confidence to put equipment straight into that kind of environment without missing a beat.

The OPS team will be on site for commissioning and training, making sure the operation has everything it needs to get the most out of the machine from the moment it starts working.

A Finlay J1480 has touched down at the port but wont be idle for long.

Already sold to a top tier mining operation, this machine is headed for a short stay at the OPS workshop, where our team will work through modifications to suit the application and a range of safety upgrades to meet the highest standards and regulations, before it heads to site and gets to work.

The J1480 continues to be one of the most sought after mobile jaw crushers on the market, and it is easy to understand why. With units operating across Australia and the Northern Territory in a wide range of applications, this machine consistently proves its reliability and versatility in some of the toughest conditions on the planet.

It does not always take a large scale investment to change how an operation runs on site.

A recently commissioned Telestack TC424X and TC424XR are now running in a remote quarry application for , and the difference in how material is moving on site is already being felt. Both machines have hit the ground running, reducing handling, cutting fuel consumption and producing main road specification material.

Not every day on site looks this good.

The team headed out recently to commission a newly dispatched EvoQuip C**t 1600, and somewhere between getting the machine running and taking in what was around them, someone pulled out a camera. Between the machine and the surroundings, the photos speak for themselves.

What a shot 📷!
