Gooday, family and friends. Jason Caspen, one of the band members, suggested that we collaborate on an album together. We have successfully completed the project, which features Rod Coe on bass, Warren Earle on guitar and vocals, Azo Bell on guitar, Feli del Aqua (Uruagui) on guitar, myself on various guitars, harps, and vocals, and Jason Caspen on drums.

The Surat New Royal hotel in Surat QLD, maybe’s longest 1 piece bar in the country, Andy Ceglinski of Big Slabs & Timber milled and re - machined this 10 mtrs x 400 x150 mm grey box beam as well as machining in a 25 mm trench underneath the front for the skirt…
Chris McKenzie expertly and with much skill and love ( not to mention muscle) turned this massive stick of timber into this most awesome bar !
The owner must be over the moon !

January 26 at the awesome Eltham Hotel NSW, 2.30 till 5.30 pm Hubcap Stan and his star studded band will be honouring the forefathers of the Blues, playing songs from these ( often unknown) artists..
The band on the day includes… fresh back from Tamworth …Rod Coe on bass, Warren Earle on guitar and vocals, Azo bell on guitar and vocals, Stu Eadie on drums and myself on various guitars, harp and vocals…it should be electrifying !!!
Fantastic food, drinks and a wonderful family friendly venue to meet friends and chill !!

I have been watching my youngest son Andy at big timber and slabs in mullum doing some incredible large work…stuff that I also did at his age….
These days my back likes me to be doing lighter work, furniture, guitars & design…
Here are a couple of “tractor “ seat high stools that I have just finished…
The recipients have waited a while for these… they should be happy…
Seat tops are local camphor, legs Norfolk Island pine, rungs are Rose gum, wedges forest red gum…
Grain orientation may not be obvious but plays a big part…
Finished in TUNG OIL…

My band…”Hubcap Stan” & the most awesome “Sidewalk Stompers “ will grace the stage of probably the best small local festival…the Nimbin Roots Festival, run by passionate musicians for musicians and the audiences who love down to earth experiences !!!
We are playing the Nimbin Bowlo, 3.30 pm on October 26th..
We are very excited to be playing there…
This year if anything like previous festivals should be fantastic !!
The band lineup of…Rod Coe on the big double bass, Warren Earl on guitar and vocals, Jason Caspen on percussion and smiles and myself playing harp, slide and regular guitar, vocals and story telling…

A photo popped up from 10 years ago when I made my very first Tele…
A massive white cedar tree came down in a storm out at Upper Capeen creek ( near Old Bonalbo Nth NSW ) about 12 years ago with
Ruler straight grain..( I scored a fair bit of its wonderful timber).
My friend gave me a very high quality Japanese neck, another friend ( forgot who ) gave me a pair of Active EMG pickups…and so the journey began…
On completion of the guitar , Fender Australia owner , gave me a Fender Blues Junior, series 3, limited edition valve amp….
What an awesome combination!!!
It’s a killer!!!
This guitar almost plays itself with amazing tones !
It has become my “go to “ guitar for gigs !!!
PS… noelzie and I went to watch one of our grandsons play soccer in Mullum this morning, what a buzz watching our grandsons growing up !

Gooday family and friends… bloody hell, man ..! there was a strong and cold wind blowing at possum creek today !!
My garden is going off !!
The cauliflower is about 225 mm diameter, the big broccoli about 170 mm diameter.. the broccolini is powering all over the place…
A great feeling to be reaping the rewards of the effort put into the garden!!!
