October is Sexual Violence Awareness Month so Zerobooks are on board with DV Safe Phone to help promote their One Phone. One Life campaign.
//CAMPAIGN LAUNCH
TODAY'S THE DAY! OUR 'ONE PHONE, ONE LIFE' CAMPAIGN IS NOW OFFICIALLY OPEN!
This October DV Safe Phone is calling on individuals, businesses and community groups to donate phones and funds to help support victims of domestic, family and sexual violence in need.
The 'One Phone, One Life' campaign coincides with Queensland’s Sexual Violence Awareness Month (SVAM). An initiative held each year to encourage the community to show their support for ending violence of this nature, and to raise awareness of its prevalence and support services available.
We'll be sharing statistics, interviews and a whole lot more throughout the month to help you, our supporters, become more aware and informed of just how prevalent this kind of abuse is in our community - and what you can do to reach out for support.
Our target for the month-long campaign is to support an additional 1000 victims by raising 1000 working mobile phones, each accompanied by a $15 donation to purchase phone credit when the phone is sent out.
The campaign offers a simple yet impactful way for thousands of people to stand together and pledge support to collectively say no to sexual violence and make a real difference in the lives of victims in need.
We encourage you to use the campaign to start a conversation around domestic, family and sexual violence in a purposeful and interactive way. Together we can create awareness, connection and practical support for those in need.
So what are you waiting for? Come join us, and pledge your support - your way - today!
