A great game of Walking Cricket by Coromandel Valley Ramblers Cricket Club yesterday afternoon.

We welcomed Jim into the group and Jim had not played for 40 years but quickly picked up the tempo making over 40 runs and bowling well. Wayne took many catches over the game, bowled well and won the match amassing 76 runs. Vicki kept her run of form going making runs and throwing herself around in the field. Nancy whilst not having a great game with the bat bowled well keeping runs to a minimum.

Well that’s a wrap for the Blackwood Business Connection for 2025. What an interesting and wonderful year it has been.
We were treated to a super interesting talk from David Haddy from Adelaide Portrait Studios. David has been a photographer for a large proportion of his life. He has photographed world wide, he has photographed theatre, RSL veterans, business headshots, families etc. David has been South Australian President of the photographic association on the national board and judges competitions.
David also showed us cameras ranging from the box brownie to the mobile phone and everything in between.

I would like to thank Tony Benson for his tireless work behind the scenes, without it we don’t exist. Thanks to our wonderful members for their support of our club. Well that’s a wrap for 2025 at Blackwood Business Connection.

We were treated to a very interesting talk by David from Adelaide Portrait Studios. David has been in the industry for most of his life photographing around the world, theatre, families, business head shots, RSL etc. He has been a photographic judge, the president of the state association and on national boards.

David’s photos are special, he has invented new methods of photography, he has photographed on new papers and he has developed photographics methods that turn the photo into what looks like paintings or etchings.

I would like to thank Tony Benson for his tireless work at the BBC it makes the group what it is. Thanks to all of our wonderful members for being a part of the group. The expertise in the BBC is incredible and we can all learn plenty from each and everyone of you.
Thanks also to The Little Leaf and Bean Café for cooking super breakfasts and piping hot tea and coffee. before Sam cooks he is there setting up the Blackwood Memorial Hall for us. I would encourage everyone to get around this fantastic local business any day of the week to taste the menu and enjoy their coffee.

What a great game of Walking Cricket by Coromandel Valley Ramblers Cricket Club we had this evening.

We had a new member Lisa who excelled with her all round game batting bowling and fielding. It was really great to have you Lisa

Andrew again batted well and continues to show plenty. A great sense of humour as well. Jules has come ahead leaps and bounds through out the season. Dan is Mr consistent across all skills. Jo also batted well bowled tightly and finished the last ball of the game taking a catch.
Above anything we all got lots of exercise and had plenty of laughs .

The outstanding moment of the evening was Dan diving forward to take a catch just above the boards. See the pic!!

For those reading my post and are thinking about coming but just havent done anything about it. Just do it!!! Come and have some fun. Great people and we dont take anthing too seriously. No experience needed.
