GASLIGHTING SURVIVAL STRATEGY: Document Everything 📝

Here's your action plan when you're being gaslit at work:

1 FOLLOW UP IN WRITING
'Thanks for our conversation. Just to confirm, we discussed X and agreed on Y...'

2 KEEP A WORK JOURNAL
Date, time, witnesses, exact quotes. Your memory isn't the problem, but having records helps.

3️ COPY OTHERS WHEN APPROPRIATE
Make your contributions visible to more people than just your gaslighter.

4️ TRUST YOUR INSTINCTS
If it feels wrong, it probably is. Stop trying to logic your way out of trusting yourself.

5️ BUILD YOUR SUPPORT NETWORK
Find allies who can help validate your reality and provide perspective.

Remember: You're not trying to 'win' against a gaslighter. You're protecting yourself while you figure out your next move.

In my upcoming book, I share detailed strategies for each of these steps—plus the mindset shifts that will help you reclaim your confidence.

Because you deserve to work somewhere that honours your truth, not constantly questions it. 💫

It's because you're STRONG. 🔥

Think about it:
→ They don't gaslight the people who never question anything
→ They don't gaslight the people who accept poor treatment
→ They don't gaslight the people who aren't a threat

They gaslight YOU because:
✓ You ask good questions
✓ You notice inconsistencies
✓ You have standards
✓ You advocate for yourself and others
✓ You refuse to accept 'that's just how it is'

Your intelligence, your awareness, your strength—that's exactly what makes them need to manipulate you.

So, the next time you catch them trying to make you doubt yourself, remember: This is happening because you're everything they're afraid of.

You're not the problem. You're the solution. 💪

My book dives deep into reclaiming your power from workplace manipulators. Because strong women deserve workplaces that celebrate their strength, not try to diminish it.

Gaslighting isn't just 'being difficult' or 'having different opinions.'

It's a systematic pattern of making you question your reality, your memory, and your competence.

Here's how it works:
✓ They deny conversations that definitely happened
✓ They rewrite history to make you the problem
✓ They dismiss your concerns as 'emotional reactions'
✓ They make you constantly second-guess yourself
✓ They isolate you from others who might validate your experience

The goal? To keep you so confused about what's real that you stop challenging their behaviour.

But here's what I want you to remember: Gaslighters target competent, intelligent people. If you're being gaslit, it's because you're a threat to their power.

My upcoming book will give you the tools to recognize, document, and respond to these tactics effectively.

Because once you see the pattern, you can't unsee it. And that's when your power returns. ✨

Your boss says these things, and you start questioning yourself:

❌ 'That never happened'
❌ 'You're being too emotional'
❌ 'You're misremembering'
❌ 'I never said that'
❌ 'You're too sensitive'

Let me be crystal clear: These are NOT signs that you need to 'toughen up.'

These are manipulation tactics designed to keep you confused, compliant, and quiet.

You deserve to work somewhere that honours your intelligence, respects your memory, and values your contributions.

If you're recognizing these patterns in your workplace, you're not alone. And more importantly—you're not imagining it.

Drop a 💯 if you've heard these phrases at work.

"That conversation with your boss that you KNOW went one way, but they're telling you it went completely differently?

You're not losing your mind. You're being gaslit.

Workplace gaslighting is real, it's calculated, and it's designed to make you doubt your own reality so you'll stop advocating for yourself.

Here's the truth: Your memory is fine. Your perception is accurate. And your gut instinct that something is 'off' is spot-on.

In my upcoming book, I dive deep into recognizing these manipulation tactics and protecting yourself from them. Because the first step to stopping gaslighting is naming it for what it is.

Trust yourself. You know what you experienced. 💪

🚨 Let's talk about workplace tattling and why it's actually a form of bullying 🚨

Going to your boss to report on coworkers' daily activities (when it doesn't affect your work or involve serious misconduct) isn't being a "good employee" - it's workplace bullying. Here's why:

✋ **It creates a toxic environment** where trust is broken and everyone feels like they're being watched

✋ **It's often motivated by** jealousy, personal grudges, or a desire to make others look bad to boost your own standing

✋ **It wastes management's time** with petty issues instead of focusing on real problems

✋ **It damages team morale** and creates an atmosphere of fear and paranoia

**The difference:** Reporting serious safety violations, harassment, or illegal activities = appropriate. Tattling about someone taking a longer lunch or chatting with colleagues = bullying behavior.

💡 **Better approach:** If a coworker's behavior genuinely affects your ability to do your job, try addressing it with them directly first, or speak with HR about conflict resolution.

Let's build each other up instead of tearing each other down. Workplaces thrive on trust, collaboration, and respect - not surveillance and snitching.

Sometimes the hardest workplace challenges come from the people closest to you 💔

You know the feeling - when someone you trusted, grabbed coffee with, and considered an ally becomes the source of your workplace stress. The smiles in meetings, the whispers in the hallway... it hits different when it's from a peer.

Toxic colleague relationships cut deep because we expect our teammates to have our backs, not be the ones holding the knife.

If you're dealing with this right now, you're not alone. These situations are more common than we talk about, and the impact is real.

What's your experience? Have you navigated a toxic peer relationship at work?

Yesterday Brighton, today Dover. Loads of laneways for shopping in Brighton, spent ages exploring them. Also went to the Royal Pavilion. So much history, I really enjoyed learning about how it was built and then restored after being gutted by Queen Victoria. Bit disappointed in Devon. The Castle was closed and I was looking forward to exploring it. Explored Kings Cross after I got back from Dover.

Day 7 Singapore. Wow amazing country, beautiful people. Walked over 20,000, three hour night bus tour around the city, Raffles for high tea. Visited Newton, Little India, Clarke Key, Fort Canning Park, Gardens by the Bay, Marina Bays Sands. Had the most amazing experiences. Managed a little bit of shopping as well.
