Love working with regional businesses seeking to make a positive change

🏆 Congratulations to the team at Billabong Zoo and Koala Wildlife Park in Port Macquarie, who I visited last week with Kevin Hogan MP – they've just taken home FOUR awards at the 2025 Mid North Coast Business Awards!

🌿 The zoo is a great local icon and a key tourism facility and it was great to see the fantastic work they’re doing first-hand. I spoke with Mark, Blake, Cara Dale (Business Consultant), and the team, and it was great to learn about all the facility offers as well as future projects.

🐨 I’d like to see Billabong Zoo given more opportunity to take part in federally funded native breeding programs. They’ve proven their capability and clearly have the expertise to contribute meaningfully to conservation.

📣 I’m advocating on their behalf with the Minister for the Environment to ensure they’re considered for future programs and support.

Last week the Business Port Macquarie organised a lunch network session, where we heard the inspirational speaker John McGrath.

Very insightful about his business journey and his views to attract and sustain business success.

John’s suggested actions as business owners:
- need to stand out
- go against the statua quo
- look at sustainability that you can influence
- little things matter
- look at 1%
- back yourself
- focus on the best interest of your customers
- what are your customers looking for
- choose yourself each day

Focus on your burning passions

The lunch network session was very informative, at C2Hills Consultancy our passion is improving the liveable of communities in Regional NSW and helping our clients deliver amazing projects.

Congratulations to Forestry Corporation of NSW and all the partners at Guulabaa Place of Koala.

C2Hills Consultancy has been involved in the planning and now delivery of this amazing project since 2018.

Project success? Achieved ✅

In April 2024, C2Hills Consultancy signed off on a year-long project, accessibility and amenity upgrades to Griffith Aero Club! ✈

With backing from Mrs. Helen Dalton MP, State Member for Murray, C2Hills were able to secure $375,565 in grant funding from the 'Stronger Country Communities Fund - Round 4'. This funding ensured the club was able to proceed with its planned renovation and continue its round the clock support for pilots and emergency service organisations.
