You may have seen the recent newspaper article about the Silo Art Committee’s
project plans to have a platypus painted under the bridge along the river walk.

The project has now been approved and thanks to the generosity of Rotary and several committee members, they are already part of the way there. It’s something the committee has been working towards for a number of years and it’s exciting to see it so close to becoming a reality.

The Business Chamber is proud to support this initiative as part of our tourism focus projects like this help showcase our town, create interest for visitors and add to the experience for locals and travellers alike.

To help bring it across the line, the Silo Art Committee is now reaching out to the community for support. We understand that times are tough, but if you’re in a position to contribute even a small amount it would be greatly appreciated and will help get this project completed in the coming months.

PUB OF THE DAY: The Court House Hotel Boorowa NSW
Some country pubs feel like they’ve earned their place.

The Court House Hotel is one of them.

Established in 1853 and rebuilt in 1908, this corner pub has watched generations come and go in Boorowa. Wool buyers, truck drivers, farmers, footy crowds, long lunches and even longer afternoons at the bar.

Eligible homes and businesses will soon be able to upgrade to full fibre (Fibre to the Premises), offering faster speeds, improved reliability and fewer service issues compared to current fibre-to-the-node connections.

Matt will provide an overview of what this means for local businesses, how the upgrade process works and what to expect when it becomes available. There’ll also be an opportunity to ask questions.
