Angus and Dev were on site in Warrnambool last week for a project inspection at Australia's largest floating solar system, as the project approaches its final stages.

Wannon Water’s 500 kW floating solar array comprises of 1,260 bifacial solar modules mounted on a purpose-built floating platform.

Once operational, Australia’s largest floating solar installation is expected to generate more than 600 MWh annually, supporting lower grid electricity consumption for pumping water from Brierly Basin to the Warrnambool Water Treatment Plant.

Part of our legacy, built on practical delivery.

At Wannon Water's Brierly Basin in Warrnambool, Australia's largest floating solar array supports more efficient water operations, reducing energy demand for pumping and helping drive down operational costs for one of regional Victoria's key water authorities.

Major construction works reached substantial completion in June 2026, with grid connection now progressing through Powercor following the issue of the Certificate of Electrical Safety (CES).

A project of this scale reflects what's possible when strong delivery partnerships come together. Proud to have worked alongside:
