👉 If one of your goals this week is to create more content, you might want to read this first.

𝗗𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 ‘𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗼𝗱' 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗼𝗿 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗲𝗱𝗜𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲.

True, creating when you are in flow feels so good.

Effortless.
Natural.
Inspired.

Yet, sometimes we find ourselves going upstream.
Against the current.

𝗪𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺.
Not to prove that effort-ing and massive action are the solution.
But rather, to get back in flow.

is a powerful way to find your flow.
It helps to harmonise and balance the two hemispheres of your brain to help them work together, resulting in greater calm, clarity and productivity.

👇 But here's another fast and effective tactic you can try:

Give your current emotion a name.
Go on.
What are you feeling RIGHT NOW?

🔴 Love
🟠 Anger
🟡 Frustration
🟢 Jealousy
🔵 Joy
🟣 Excitement

etc.

𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗮 𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹, 𝗹𝗲𝗳𝘁 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗲𝗿.

As Brené Brown's research revealed in her book, 'Atlas of the Heart', there are 𝟴𝟳 𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 that define what it means to be human.

𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵.
Don’t demonise it.
Every emotion has a purpose.

1️⃣ If it’s positive, go on a rampage of APPRECIATION.
List as many other words as you can think of to describe it.
(think synonyms)

2️⃣ If it’s negative, name its OPPOSITE.
Then follow step 1️⃣

There is power in naming something.
Appreciate the value of self-awareness.
Identifying the emotion puts you back in the driver's seat.
If it's a helpful emotion, you can leverage this.
If it's not, you can help it dissolve by simply noticing, rather than stifling, it.

𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝟰/𝟱: Presence

So you've published a great post, that ALIGNS with your commercial goals and is TAILORED to your audience.

𝗡𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁?

In a word, presence.

Have you ever Googled the term 'presence'?
The key themes are:

🛑𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗘𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗦𝗢𝗠𝗘𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘
🛑𝗕𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘀𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗪 𝗨𝗣
🛑𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗦𝗧𝗬𝗟𝗘 𝗼𝗳 𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲

Interestingly, there's no mention of:

❌ once you publish, the work is done
❌ someone else can pretend to be you
❌ the social media gods will take care of it

The heart of your presence is exactly that.

❤️𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗧

No, I'm not getting fu-fu on you.

𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝘀𝘄𝗶𝗺 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗰𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗮 𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿'𝘀 𝗱𝗮𝘆.

Your body is hot.
The water is not.

You either:
Put a toe at a time in the water, holding back even though you know the water will cool you down.
Or you can immerse yourself all at once, stick with it while your hot skin adjusts to the cool, and then... THE COOL STARTS TO WORK AND FEEL GOOD!

The moral of the story?

Real presence equals:

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 THINKING 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡?

⏰Is it 𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗘𝗢𝗨𝗦, created when and where you feel it?
⏰Is it 𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗗𝗨𝗟𝗘𝗗, created ahead to free up time?

It CAN be either.

But which approach delivers 𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗖𝗜𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗬?

You see, it's not WHEN, or with WHAT TOOL, you create your content.

𝗜𝘁'𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗜𝗠𝗘 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘀.
⏰THINKING who you want to reach [part 1/5: cultivation]
⏰THINKING when there's prime receptivity [part 2/5: focus]
and part 3/5:
⏰THINKING what goals your creation must align with

𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵.
They are the filter on your finger, before it hits 'publish'

🛑So next time you learn a new piece of information you feel tempted to share in a post that is UNCONNECTED and UNRELATED to your true north 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲.

Because we all know that whilst not all of your audience engages, they notice more than you think.

❓Maybe you have one now but not the beginning
❓Maybe you had one then your goals changed
