👉 If one of your goals this week is to create more content, you might want to read this first.
𝗗𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 ‘𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗼𝗱' 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗼𝗿 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗲𝗱𝗜𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲.
True, creating when you are in flow feels so good.
Effortless.
Natural.
Inspired.
Yet, sometimes we find ourselves going upstream.
Against the current.
𝗪𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺.
Not to prove that effort-ing and massive action are the solution.
But rather, to get back in flow.
is a powerful way to find your flow.
It helps to harmonise and balance the two hemispheres of your brain to help them work together, resulting in greater calm, clarity and productivity.
👇 But here's another fast and effective tactic you can try:
Give your current emotion a name.
Go on.
What are you feeling RIGHT NOW?
🔴 Love
🟠 Anger
🟡 Frustration
🟢 Jealousy
🔵 Joy
🟣 Excitement
etc.
Indulge yourself here.
𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗮 𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹, 𝗹𝗲𝗳𝘁 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗲𝗿.
As Brené Brown's research revealed in her book, 'Atlas of the Heart', there are 𝟴𝟳 𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 that define what it means to be human.
𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵.
Don’t demonise it.
Every emotion has a purpose.
1️⃣ If it’s positive, go on a rampage of APPRECIATION.
List as many other words as you can think of to describe it.
(think synonyms)
2️⃣ If it’s negative, name its OPPOSITE.
Then follow step 1️⃣
There is power in naming something.
Appreciate the value of self-awareness.
Identifying the emotion puts you back in the driver's seat.
If it's a helpful emotion, you can leverage this.
If it's not, you can help it dissolve by simply noticing, rather than stifling, it.
