Here is a short video of a recent test we undertook on a large Shank Hook. With a W.L.L capacity of 25 tonnes, this type of hook is used on many different types of crane applications, across a range of industries.

The Shank hook was tested on Absolute Lifting and Safety’s 120 tonne mobile test bed, at our Brendale testing facility. The target Proof load to meet Australian Standard AS3777 – 2008 was 45,000kg. The Shank Hook passed the test with an actual proof force of 45,060kg without any permanent set deformation or defects, meeting the Australian Standard requirements.

Every day, the team of professional technicians at Absolute Lifting and Safety test all types of Lifting and Height Safety equipment in our testing facility and on-site using specialised fixed and mobile testing equipment.
