For almost 2 months we are accepting many more types containers and it’s great to see how the quantity of containers that are refunded to you has gone up.

We see a lot of milk containers as well. Any unflavoured milk containers are NOT eligible for a refund. However FLAVOURED milk IS eligible.

Vinegar bottles are also excluded from the refunds.

We know this can be confusing; we don’t make the rules. But we hope our information will assist you in returning the correct containers for refunds.

Save the date... From 1 July 2026, most beverage containers between 150ml and 3L will be accepted at refund points across Western Australia.

This includes:

✅ All fruit and vegetable juice, flavoured milk, and cordial containers.

✅ Wine in any container type.

✅ Spirits.

✅ Water and wine in casks.

Support our Bush Fire Heroes! Donate your containers to the Volunteer Bush Fire Brigades and local SES, and help keep our community safe. You can drop off your containers at the Bridgetown Waste Facility, where 2 IBCs are waiting to receive them this June to August.

All brigades and the SES in the Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes will benefit from this initiative.

This week we will process the 2 millionth container for this financial year at the Bridgetown Containers for Change refund point.

THAT’S 2,000,000 containers!

To celebrate we will award a $50 gift voucher to the person who has the 2 millionths container in their load. So drop yours off this week!

The Bridgetown refund point processes containers from Bridgetown, Greenbushes, Pemberton, Northcliffe and Balingup. We want to thank all of you that have returned containers to us for your support for us to hit this milestone!

“Why do you want my first name and my phone number on drop off forms” is a question we get asked many times.
We enter counted quantities of containers into an app and enter your member number. The app displays the first name and the last three digits of the phone number of the member, so we can check that we refund the right person.

If there is a digit missing in the member number noted on the drop off form (which happens quite frequently), we can search on your phone number. If that does not yield a result, we will sms or even call you to find out your member number.

So please help us by providing those details so we can make sure we get the refunds to the right person

The forms are destroyed after use.
