We are very pleased to announce that Mountain Planning has merged with Human Habitats. The relationship between the two companies has formed over many years of working collaboratively on projects. The joint venture simply means that Mountain Planning now has additional resources which now extends into landscape architecture, urban design, 3D visualisations, master planning and strategic planning. The Mountain Planning brand will remain and Nick and Liz will still be working on Mountain Planning projects with the assistance of the Human Habitats team.

Here is some proof that some Council’s are actually a joy to do work with. 1. issued this approval for a second dwelling in a rural area in less than 4 weeks. 2. issued this two lot subdivision in 7 weeks. Zero issues and no complications from either Council.

A small second dwelling may now be constructed on land without a planning permit in some circumstances. Essentially, if there is not an overlay on your land you can get away without a planning permit. However, if, for example you are covered by the Bushfire Management Overlay you will still require a planning permit. Give us a call or send us a message if you need more information

For all the young town planners out there, this is galvanised corrugated iron. It’s a really important fabric of Australian architecture. It is not reflective and you will find it has been widely used. Also, galvanised corrugated iron is not a Colorbond colour so you won’t find it in their colour palette.

I started riding with the boys a few years ago on our Wednesday night rides and have seen them grow into amazing athletes and humans.
