JOB TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Day to Day duties & responsibilities will include:
INCOMING/OUTGOING MATERIAL
• Record all incoming material on Incoming Material form
• Check all loads for contamination
• Complete all documentation prior to checking with Logistics Operator to send trucks to unload or be loaded
• Record all rejected loads on the register.
This role requires you to :
COMPOSTING
• Take temperatures of piles and record
• Regulate the carbon, moister & PH of the piles, record and guaranty “Pasteurization” of the piles, record on the individual pile ID and on Batch Management record form.
• Co-ordinate with Site Manager as to when the piles need to be turned and watered.
• Calibrate probe
• Test compost before trommelling to ensure it has made Australian Standard for Compost.
• If not advise/discuss treatment and reprocessing with Site Manager.
• Ensure piles are contaminate free (picking out any visible rubbish every time you do temps or visual inspections)
VERMICULTURE
• Breeding Worms, keeping at the correct moister, in the dark and feed
• Take samples and record results
• Help setup new breeding stations and continuous flow beds.
• Constantly separate and expand the worm beds.
TEST GARDENS
• Plant, research, record growth and yield of different plants with our soil.
CORE PROCESSES RELYING ON THE ROLE
• Ability to scientifically run and record trials and testing and write up reports
• Ability to find answers, be resourceful with contacts and willing to learn.
• Complete compliance paperwork effectively and accurately.
ACCOUNTABILITIES & ASSOCIATED RESPONSIBILITIES
• Accurate recording of trials & results
• ISO Compliance documents in relation to our EPL & SBMP are current and up to date.
• Notify Site Manager of all material that is being tested on, timing and analysis that needs to be done, any supplies that need to be ordered and budgets for projects.
• All initiatives/budgets/quotes are to be approved by the Director
• Reaching targeted AS4454 & AS4419 for quality of product & processes and KPI for quantity of worms & worm juice.
• Australian Standard recording for audits
WHS
• All employees to be dressed in issued PPE in accordance with the company’s WH&S policy when onsite.
• Ensure to act responsibly in the performance of your duties, in accordance with company WHS policies and represent the company in the appropriate manner
• Operations to be conducted in accordance with company WHSE policy and procedures. Respective registers to be maintained in accordance with policy
OPERATIONAL PERFORMANCE
• Ensure all activities are completed within approved working hours.
• Documentation accurate & completed on time.
• Product quality of Australian Standard
REPORTING/MEETINGS
• Attend site meetings e.g. Toolbox Talks when requested and assist management with recording of information in line with capabilities when requested by Site Manager
• Weekly meeting with Director to go over process, testing & budgets
• Monthly meeting with Director to discuss & review processes, development & KPI’s
