Thursday 23rd March: 5-6:30pm (ACT/NSW/VIC); 4-5:30pm (QLD)

Introduction to PBS and Alcohol and Other Drugs: this introduction will go through how to complete a functional analysis for presentations that include Alcohol and Other Drug use along with PBS interventions which may be suitable. I am joining a a globally diverse team of like-minded professionals for a week-long experience in July to deepen my understanding of global autism services and awareness. While on this trip I will be developing leadership skills by helping to design and complete a world-changing project with a team of peers.

I often get asked, WHY? Why go overseas to help others, why not help those in Australia? Why Kenya? Well, WHY NOT? Why not help those that need the support and need access to professionals and knowledge that are not easily available? Why not use my expertise and passion to better the lives of others regardless of where they live? Why not do both - help locally and globally? That's why!

My team will come together from all over the world to solve major social challenges. This experience will help to bridge global gaps in awareness and acceptance of autism. We will work together across cultural, language, and professional barriers to make an impact!

I hope that this is just the start and I can continue to bridge the barriers that individuals with other abilities face on a daily basis for many years to come. I want to bring not only my knowledge to other regions, but also my determination to leave the world in a better place then how I found it. You can help this mission as well, by donating, you not only support me to go to Kenya to work on a meaningful project, but your funds also fund scholarships for disadvantaged populations to take part in the project and to better the services they provide in their own local organizations. Helping me, helps more than just the immediate communities in Kenya, it could reach right across the world. Remember, Autism knows NO borders. Let's do this!

Let's fundraise together to help us to build a world worth chatting about, a world where all humans are treated with the respect, dignity and rights that they deserve. A world where we all work together to achieve a common goal. Let's do this!
