Becoming a mum taught me something I had already experienced during my own career journey:
When we believe there is only one way forward, we quickly start feeling trapped.
I once believed I needed long, uninterrupted hours to exercise. Now I run with my daughter in the pram.
As an international student approaching graduation, I also believed that submitting more online applications was the only way to find work.
After repeated rejections, I started questioning my value, my future in Australia and whether I had chosen the wrong path...
I realised it is about having a strategy!
- I stopped treating every rejection as a personal judgement.
- I began reaching out to professionals, learning directly from people in my chosen sectors and building genuine industry relationships.
Those conversations helped me understand what employers valued, discover opportunities beyond job boards and become visible to people who could support my career journey.
Sometimes moving forward does not require doing more of the same.
It requires finding another way.
Wherever you are in your career journey, I hope this page reminds you that there's always another way forward. Follow along, and let's navigate it together ❤️.
