Many business owners ask me this question, I want to start delegating tasks, but I don't know what tasks to delegate first?

In this post, I want to share 2 frameworks that will help you decide what tasks to delegate and what tasks you must do.

First framework:

โ€ข First step I want you to do is, Calculate your hourly rate. Let's say your hourly rate is $75.

โ€ข Once you calculate your hourly rate, make a list of all the tasks which you can delegate for lower than your hourly rate. Start with these tasks. Let's say you can hire someone for $20 per hour to do some of those tasks, hire this person and delegate the tasks to them.

If you delegate the low-value tasks, you will have more time to do high-value tasks and generate more income.

Second Framework:

As an entrepreneur, your focus should be on building the business, generating more revenue and scaling it.

Make a list of all the tasks you are passionate of doing and revenue-generating activities. Once you make this list, start delegating the tasks which you are not passionate about or non-revenue generating activities.
If you delegate these tasks, you can spend more time on the tasks you are passionate about and on revenue-generating tasks.

Well, It took me quite sometime to realize that I have wrong expectation and it will never happen.

What can you do?
๐Ÿ’ก SETUP RITUALS IN YOUR COMPANY AND FOLLOW THEM RELIGIOUSLY.
Some of the rituals that have worked wonders in my company include:
1๏ธโƒฃ Setting up systems and processes in place so there is uniformity with the work AND REVIEW THEM WEEKLY.
2๏ธโƒฃ Having a daily huddle and weekly review meetings with the team(This is an absolute โ€œGame Changerโ€)
3๏ธโƒฃ Setting up a culture where employees are encouraged to share their goals and challenges AND THE MANAGEMENT DOING ITS BEST TO HELP THEM ACHIEVE THEIR GOALS.
4๏ธโƒฃ Encouraging the team to constantly improve and grow. Having a training calendar for the team.
5๏ธโƒฃ Making sure there is โ€œOpen Communicationโ€ and all team members feel valued & you have a constant feedback program to get suggestions.

Every CEO of a successful company has achieved his/her dream after they built a team.

Do you agree?

Have you met any CEO who has achieved extraordinary things do it alone?

I am sure you didn't.

As a CEO of your company, you can achieve your goal to a certain limit if you are a one person company.

if you try to achieve your goal alone, it will be a slow process. You will be overwhelmed with everything that needs to be done. You will be doing things which are below your pay grade and do those things which you dislike doing.

If you have a bigger dream, the best way to achieve your dram is to build a powerful team who is aligned with your vision and do it together.

You don't have to hire a six figure full time employee to begin with. You can start small.

May be start with a part time employee or pay by hour freelancer.

Once you are comfortable, Then you can think of hiring more team members.

Remember, "Bigger the DREAM, the most powerful your team should be"

If you want to be successful in life, it helps to **study successful people** that came before you.

One of my favorite success stories belongs to John D. Rockefeller.

He built his fortune by building a monster oil company and then used his fortune to impact all mankind.

One of my favorite quotes by John Rockefeller is this:

*"I Would Rather Earn 1% off a 100 people's efforts than 100% off my own efforts."*

Now this **may sound selfish**... but if you take a closer look, there's nothing selfish about it.

John Rockefeller built his empire and became the richest man to ever walk the earth.

He also provided jobs for thousands of people over his lifetime.

Each of those people fed their family and made their living while helping John become a very rich man.

And what he did with that money went on to make the world a better place.

One of the **keys to John's empire** was his ability to *hire good people* to do the tasks he didn't want to do.

Isn't he a SMART guy. . .

Think about it, what is it that's really consuming most of your time & you hate to do it. There might be other people who LOVE that same thing!

I am Darsh. I started my entrepreneurial journey from door to door sales. Then, I started my own company in education-based marketing and scaled it to 6 figures in 18 months.

At this point, I was mostly working alone with few part-time freelancers. I was afraid of delegating and had a lot of fears about building a BIG team.
