A simple question can make a real difference.

This week, our teams across Peak, Federation, Dargues and Brisbane came together to recognise R U OK? Day through activities coordinated by site teams and our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee. The day created opportunities for people to connect, learn more about available support and take a moment to check in with one another.

From site events and wellbeing resources to conversations with Contact Officers, the focus was on making it easier for people to start meaningful conversations and know where to turn for support. Employees at Peak also had the opportunity to connect with an EAP counsellor, who spent time on site encouraging people to check in with their mates and reach out when they need support.

A particular highlight was seeing members of our Board join employees at Peak for a morning tea, reinforcing that looking out for one another is everyone's responsibility and that wellbeing matters at every level of the business.

The day reflected the values that guide us every day. While R U OK? Day is one day on the calendar, its message is relevant all year round.

Thank you to our site teams, DEI Committee members and everyone who helped bring the day to life.

Aurelia would like to advise the community that road works at the intersection of The Peak Way and Kidman Way (access to the Peak Mine) will recommence the week beginning Monday 31 August 2026 as part of the ongoing intersection upgrade project.

The works will improve road safety and support future access for B-Triple haul vehicles.

During the works, traffic control measures will be in place in accordance with Transport for NSW requirements, including:

• a temporary speed reduction to 40km/h within the work zone
• installation of temporary traffic signals
• a reduction to a single lane of traffic through the intersection
• temporary lighting at traffic light locations and/or intersections.

The upgrade includes road widening, installation of additional culverts and new line marking to improve the intersection for all road users. Completion is scheduled for mid-late September.

We thank the community for your continued patience and cooperation while these important works are completed. Please follow all traffic control measures, including posted signage, temporary speed limits and directions from traffic controllers to help keep everyone safe.

We're proud to share that we won the Health Excellence Award at NSW Minerals Council's 2026 Health, Safety, Environment and Community (HSEC) Awards this.

The award recognises our Dustlight initiative, which helps make an invisible health risk visible by providing workers with real-time information about respirable dust exposure.

This achievement reflects our values of Care and One Team and demonstrates what can be achieved when operational teams, health and safety professionals, leaders and workers come together towards a shared goal.

Congratulations to this year's HSEC Awards finalist and winners for continuing to drive HSEC excellence across our industry.

Our team from our Peak Operation came together to celebrate Clean Up Australia Day this week, collecting an impressive 40 bags of rubbish along the highway between the Peak Mine and Great Cobar.

While Clean Up Australia Day is traditionally held in March, we hold our clean-up during the cooler months, making it easier and safer for our people to get involved!

The day reflected our Value of Care in action: Care for our environment by helping protect the Cobar environment, and care for our community by keeping local roadsides clean and welcoming.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part. Every bag collected made a difference!

Future engineers, scientists and innovators were hard at work in Cobar last week!

We were proud to once again support the Annual Outback Science and Engineering Challenge at the Cobar Bowling and Golf Club.
Alongside our $3,000 contribution to the event, six of our team members volunteered their time to help run activities and encourage students throughout the day.

The Challenge gives students the opportunity to explore STEM in a fun and practical way, with the winning school progressing to compete at the state level.

We're proud to support programs like these that help young people discover their potential, build confidence and explore future career opportunities while strengthening the communities where we live and work.

From everyone at Aurelia, congratulations to all the students and schools who took part in this year's Challenge!
