It’s almost that time again…
We're inching closer to Indigenous Business Month (1-31 October) which celebrates the innovation, excellence, economic independence and self-determination of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses.
This year's theme, Local & Connected, recognises that thriving Indigenous businesses are grounded in community, relationships and connection to place. It highlights the importance of local knowledge, trusted partnerships and economic prosperity that flows back to communities.
This year’s theme aligns closely with Murawin's Barri Marruma (Place-making) business model. The Country-centric methodology ensures that Country, Community, and First Nations knowledge always guide our work. Barri Marruma reflects our belief that lasting impact is created when organisations are genuinely connected to people, place and Country.
All month (and all year) we will be celebrating the Indigenous Business sector so if you're keen to learn more about this year's theme, discover Indigenous businesses in your community, or access resources to get involved visit https://lnkd.in/dtWerk-Y
