Senex joined more than 200 delegates in Adelaide this week for one of the biggest dates on the Australia-Korea business calendar.

Now in its 47th year, the Australia-Korea Business Council and Korea Australia Business Council Joint Meeting drew senior leaders from business, government and industry across both nations, under the theme 'Trusted Partners in a Changing World.'

Senex Energy CEO Darren Stevenson spoke about the role of natural gas in the energy transition alongside renewables, and joined a panel on the energy transition, decarbonisation and emerging technologies.

As a company proudly majority owned in part by South Korea’s POSCO International, Senex is living proof of a great partnership between two nations.

At the National Bush Summit 2026, Hancock Agriculture CEO Adam Giles delivered a keynote speech on behalf of Mrs Rinehart.

The speech raised serious concerns for the future of agriculture and mining in regional Australia, and the businesses and communities that depend on these industries to survive.

As a proud operator in Queensland’s Surat Basin, we know firsthand what thriving regional industries mean for local jobs, families and communities.

The Senex team reached new heights last week 🏢

A team of Senex steppers tackled all 1,040 stairs to the top of ONE ONE ONE Eagle Street as part of this year’s River to Rooftop event.

It was tough going but the team used every bit of 'essential energy' they had and the spirit amongst the climbers on the day was contagious.

Together, the Senex team with Brisbane’s corporate community helped raise $112,000 for Women's Legal Service Queensland, which provides free legal support to women and children affected by domestic and family violence.

Thanks to everyone who climbed, donated or cheered the team on.

Our purpose - delivering essential energy for life - took a new turn this week at the 2026 Surat Basin Energy Summit☕

Senex knows a thing or two about keeping the energy flowing and so we were proud to sponsor the coffee cart at last week’s summit in Dalby hosted by Toowoomba and Surat Basin Enterprise (TSBE).

More than 250 industry leaders, government representatives and community members came together to talk energy security, opportunities, economic growth and community prosperity in the Surat Basin.

It was an excellent chance to connect with the people and businesses shaping the future of the Surat Basin, and to deliver to all attendees essential energy for life in a cup of coffee.

Thanks to TSBE for a great summit and to everyone who stopped by the cart for some essential energy!

Giddy up! 🐎

Last week’s Eumamurrin Campdraft had the district reining in some serious talent, competing for top honours in the Senex Energy Restricted Open.

The Restricted Open is for horses with open status only, meaning only the best of the campdraft program get to compete.

First place went to Troy Roberts riding Samuel 92, with Harry Steiger and Cameron Webster placing equal second. Cameron Webster also claimed fourth and fifth place on different horses, while Jack Southern finished sixth. The cut-out event was won by Cameron Lee.

Senex Energy Community Relations Manager Trevor Robertson said the strong support of the local community made it a great event for riders who come from far and wide, and one that Senex is proud to have supported for many years.

A weekend to remember in Brisbane 🎪

Senex was proud to sponsor the bus trip for 48 young gymnasts from the Wandoan Taroom Gymnasts Club to visit Brisbane and see Cirque du Soleil's KOOZA last weekend.

Trading their local gym for the big top, the gymnasts watched a show packed with world-class acrobatics and daring performances, creating a memory they will treasure for years to come.

Senex loves cheering on our young athletes and inspiring them to see where their talent can take them.

Queensland has got it right. Senex strongly endorses the Queensland Government’s statement today opposing the Federal Government’s proposed national gas reservation scheme.

Queensland has a lot to be proud of, including its own gas reservation scheme with clear rules that supports investment and delivers new supply to the domestic gas market – outcomes the Federal Government’s proposed scheme will not deliver.

We couldn’t agree more with the views of Treasurer David Janetzki MP and Minister Last - Member for Burdekin, including that ‘Queensland is the east coast gas market.’ Without Queensland, there is no domestic gas market!

Right on target in Wandoan! 🎯

Senex was delighted to once again sponsor the Wandoan Gun Club's annual two-day shoot, where 74 shooters from across Queensland took aim across a great lineup of events including the Club Trap Championship and Senex Handicap Event.

Congratulations to overall winner Greg Matson from Roma, pictured here with fellow competitor Senex Senior Health and Safety Advisor Dave Thomas.

The weekend hit the mark, bringing plenty of visitors to town to enjoy Wandoan’s hospitality. As a proud member of the Wandoan community, supporting local clubs like this is always in our sights.

Everyone embraced the country spirit at the Morgans’ Big Dry Friday lunch, where generous corporate and community partners came together to raise a record $2 million for rural Australia.

As part of the effort, Senex donated $25,000 to the Royal Flying Doctor Service - Queensland Section to support the delivery of the RFDS Dental Service in Wandoan, with the Morgans Foundation matching this to ensure essential oral health services remain in reach for the region.

We couldn’t do what we do without the support of the Wandoan and Roma communities. We’re so proud to give back to the people and organisations that keep our communities strong.

Pictured with their Senex ‘Í Love QLD Gas’ caps are COO Steph De Nichilo, CFO Renet Du Plessis and CEO Darren Stevenson.

What a wonderful evening!

This week, Senex was pleased to cohost the Australia-Korea Business Council Members Brisbane Meetup with POSCO International Corp's Miss Yumi Han. 🤝

Australia and South Korea have one of the most important trade relationships in our region, and gas and energy sits right at the heart of it.

Australian gas for our Australian trading partners – not just Australia – means petrol, diesel and jet fuel for Australians. 🌏

In 2024, Australia exported 11.4 million tonnes of Liquified Natural Gas to South Korea. In return South Korea sent us 11.6 million tonnes of liquid fuels — petrol, diesel and jet fuel.

These figures highlight the deep interdependence between Australia and Korea on energy security, which was recommitted to by Australia’s Foreign Minister, Senator Penny Wong, on 30 April.

If Australia’s proposed gas reservation results in us failing to deliver our side of the energy agreement, and petrol, diesel and jet fuel don’t flow back to Australians, our economy grinds to a halt.

We were delighted to welcome Consul General Seong-Yeon Kim and over 60 guests from across the Australian and Korean business community to celebrate the mutually beneficial partnership between both countries of which we can all be proud and should furiously protect. 🩵
