Applications are now open for our 2027 $10,000 STEM scholarships and one of our current recipients Abi Clarke is a great example of what the program offers.

From rescuing and relocating frogs with our environment team and conducting cultural heritage surveys, to working alongside our operations team and experiencing life on Rig 27, Abi has a front row seat to the natural gas industry.

Our STEM scholarship program is open to two Year 12 students who completed most or all of their studies in the Surat Basin, including Toowoomba. It includes work experience placements across Senex operations for six weeks over two years, helping recipients learn and grow with real hands-on experience in the field.

Fete-tastic fun is heading to Roma this weekend.

Senex is proud to be platinum sponsor of the Roma State College Fete. Head along this Saturday 10 October to the Middle Campus from 11am to 3pm.

Expect rides, games, face painting, market stalls, a raffle, and plenty of BBQ and food stalls to keep the whole family entertained.

The fete is the major fundraiser for the college's Parents and Citizens (P&C) Association. Funds raised will help improve school facilities for current and future students.

Last weekend’s Senex Community Campdraft made the cut 🐎

About 150 of the community’s best riders saddled up to raise about $30,000 for the Wandoan Sport and Recreation Association.

Congratulations to all who participated in two days of competition which ran from the Open and Novice drafts through to the Maiden and Mini.

Ben Weller and Miranda scored a massive 181 points to win the Novice Draft, and Ben Tapp and Supernova took out the Maiden after a tie-breaking run-off. Juvenile, Junior and Mini drafts were won by Lucy Whithers, Macy Crawford and Darcee Worsfold respectively.

Senex is proud to support an event that brings the district together to raise funds to improve local sporting facilities. Hats off to the organisers, volunteers, competitors, other sponsors and Willinga Pastoral Co for making this event so successful.

Now in its 11th year, Miles Women's Wellness Day drew more than 350 attendees for its biggest turnout yet, with women travelling from near and far to take part.

Guest speaker Pip Courtney, host of ABC's Landline for 33 years, was a standout for many, sharing reflections on her career and the importance of telling the stories of people in rural and remote areas.

Senex COO Stephenie De Nichilo also spoke to attendees about Senex's work delivering natural gas to Australian homes and businesses, and the importance of local communities like Miles to our operations.

Senex was proud to be the major sponsor of the day. A big thank you to Cecily Brockhurst and the Murilla Community Centre team for pulling together such a warm, welcoming event for local women.

Senex joined more than 200 delegates in Adelaide this week for one of the biggest dates on the Australia-Korea business calendar.

Now in its 47th year, the Australia-Korea Business Council and Korea Australia Business Council Joint Meeting drew senior leaders from business, government and industry across both nations, under the theme 'Trusted Partners in a Changing World.'

Senex Energy CEO Darren Stevenson spoke about the role of natural gas in the energy transition alongside renewables, and joined a panel on the energy transition, decarbonisation and emerging technologies.

As a company proudly majority owned in part by South Korea’s POSCO International, Senex is living proof of a great partnership between two nations.

The Senex team reached new heights last week 🏢

A team of Senex steppers tackled all 1,040 stairs to the top of ONE ONE ONE Eagle Street as part of this year’s River to Rooftop event.

It was tough going but the team used every bit of 'essential energy' they had and the spirit amongst the climbers on the day was contagious.

Together, the Senex team with Brisbane’s corporate community helped raise $112,000 for Women's Legal Service Queensland, which provides free legal support to women and children affected by domestic and family violence.

Thanks to everyone who climbed, donated or cheered the team on.

Our purpose - delivering essential energy for life - took a new turn this week at the 2026 Surat Basin Energy Summit☕

Senex knows a thing or two about keeping the energy flowing and so we were proud to sponsor the coffee cart at last week’s summit in Dalby hosted by Toowoomba and Surat Basin Enterprise (TSBE).

More than 250 industry leaders, government representatives and community members came together to talk energy security, opportunities, economic growth and community prosperity in the Surat Basin.

It was an excellent chance to connect with the people and businesses shaping the future of the Surat Basin, and to deliver to all attendees essential energy for life in a cup of coffee.

Thanks to TSBE for a great summit and to everyone who stopped by the cart for some essential energy!

Giddy up! 🐎

Last week’s Eumamurrin Campdraft had the district reining in some serious talent, competing for top honours in the Senex Energy Restricted Open.

The Restricted Open is for horses with open status only, meaning only the best of the campdraft program get to compete.

First place went to Troy Roberts riding Samuel 92, with Harry Steiger and Cameron Webster placing equal second. Cameron Webster also claimed fourth and fifth place on different horses, while Jack Southern finished sixth. The cut-out event was won by Cameron Lee.

Senex Energy Community Relations Manager Trevor Robertson said the strong support of the local community made it a great event for riders who come from far and wide, and one that Senex is proud to have supported for many years.

A weekend to remember in Brisbane 🎪

Senex was proud to sponsor the bus trip for 48 young gymnasts from the Wandoan Taroom Gymnasts Club to visit Brisbane and see Cirque du Soleil's KOOZA last weekend.

Trading their local gym for the big top, the gymnasts watched a show packed with world-class acrobatics and daring performances, creating a memory they will treasure for years to come.

Senex loves cheering on our young athletes and inspiring them to see where their talent can take them.
