TURNING WINE BOTTLES INTO CANDLE HOLDERS

The first photo shows wine bottles that have been cut. The edges are all rough and sharp. Each cut bottle is wrapped in plastic to preserve the labels which could be damaged during the wet&dry sanding process.
The second photo shows the final result after successive sanding stages from coarse to fine sanding paper. These cut bottles will be turned into candles by a local candle maker.

Empty bottles of this particular brand of vodka are turned into beautiful, delicate drinking glasses.
Someone in Bellbowrie kindly donated these to me. I will eventually cut the bottles to size, and sand the rough edges down. Family and friends will get them as gifts 🙂

I will no longer offer the cutting and polishing of champagne/sparkling wine bottles specifically as a service unfortunately. Normal round-shaped wine and spirits bottles are still fine.

I cannot cut any other shape of bottle except round.

Candle holders from empty champagne and wine bottles made to order for a local candle maker (who supplied the bottles).

Once filled with soy wax and essential oil fragrances these will make lovely gifts.
