I just wanted to take a moment to say how incredibly proud I am of our team.

A special shout-out to my amazing daughter, Sarah, who has been such an important part of the business. I have had major issues trying to move super large files from Dropbox to One Drive. The usual method is to download them from Dropbox to your computer and then upload into One Drive. However it’s become apparent that MANY files did not download from Dropbox, therefore the uploaded folders were missing MANY files which has been highly frustrating.

The issue has been file names having underscores in them or it keeps saying the filename is too long when it’s not that long. These things never used to be an issue in the past but they are now. I’ve been advised due to AI scanning all files. AI rejects it! It feels like you have to name a file something you can barely recognise as words are so short 🤪. The past bookkeeper had saved LOTS of files with colons : in them - DO NOT DO THIS 🙏 . Having to rename 100’s of files because a legal agent wants One Drive instead of Dropbox is not fun!!

I’m now convinced that Dropbox doesn’t want to make it easy for you to download your files to your computer (why would they when they can make a fortune 🙄) so be careful how you name them before storing on ANY online storage platforms. Hard lessons learnt and I hope this can help someone avoid the pain. I’ve been using Dropbox for very many years and this is the first year I have encountered this problem. Has anybody else found this issue?

Have you ever climbed up a steep mountain where you think you are getting to the top but when you do it’s just a ledge with another view to the top and again and again, but once you get to the top the view is worth it? I have, it was in the Lake District and was probably more like a huge hill than a mountain but I felt the challenge at the time 🤪

My life has been feeling like that mountain climb for at least a year now, with a huge volume of work to get done; requiring at least 12 hours every weekday, week after week, month after month, in front of complex problems, complex spreadsheets, and complex letters to write, spending way too much time on a computer for many many months now.

What I need to do is just keep going, keep climbing but doing my best to enjoy the peace and tranquility along the way, take in the scenery but I must keep going, keep climbing because just like that when you get there I believe the climb will be worth it
