It’s always a pleasure to be in Emerald, especially when it’s to develop new strategies with old friends that are aimed to further increase local supplier participation and collaboration within the industry.

This week saw Ben Hughes travel out to the Central Highlands Region, to meet with two regional advocates of significant standing and experience, Peter Dowling from the Central Highlands Development Corporation and Tracey Cuttriss-Smith from C-Res and the Local Buying Foundation.

The Hughes et al team believe in the value of strong relationships with the regional communities in which we work and the clients who work there.

Last week saw our Director, Ben Hughes embark on a mammoth 2,900km road trip across News South Wales covering Kempsey, Armidale and Parkes, with the ultimate destination being Wagga Wagga (and back).

Ben was able to catch-up with several of our valued past and current clients and refresh our understanding of current local industry trends in Renewables and Defence and the subsequent impacts being experienced by the regions.
