๐ŸŽ‰ SUCCESS STORY โ€“ FROM VISITOR VISA TO STUDENT VISA GRANT! ๐ŸŽ‰

What a journey and what an incredible outcome!

Our client initially arrived in Australia on a Visitor Visa (Subclass 600) with the intention of exploring study opportunities. After deciding to pursue further education, the client lodged a Student (Subclass 500) visa application, which was initially refused by the Department of Home Affairs due to concerns raised in the decision.

Following the refusal, we acted promptly and lodged an application for review with the Administrative Review Tribunal (ART), preparing a strong and detailed submission addressing all refusal grounds with comprehensive supporting evidence and a clear migration pathway.

โœ… ART Appeal Lodged: We represented the client before the Administrative Review Tribunal (ART), challenging the refusal decision and presenting well-structured legal and factual arguments in support of the application.

โœ… 6 August 2026: The ART set aside the refusal decision and remitted the matter back to the Department for reconsideration.

โœ… 13 August 2026: Following reconsideration, the Department of Home Affairs GRANTED the Student (Subclass 500) visa! ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ๐ŸŽ“

This result demonstrates how proper strategy, preparation, persistence, and attention to detail can completely transform the outcome of a visa refusal case.

At NOVA Education & Migration Services, Migration Agent Ishwor Kuinkel (MARN 2217797) and Narayan Koirala (MARN 1568518) apply a strategic and determined approach to complex visa refusals and ART matters โ€” carefully analysing each case, addressing refusal concerns, and advocating for the strongest possible outcome.

On 12 May 2026, the Australian Government announced that the 2026โ€“27 permanent Migration Program (Migration Program) will be set at 185,000 places, with an approximate 70:30 split between the Skilled and Family Programs. The overall planning level and the Skill and Family split of the program are unchanged from 2025-26.

Across both the Skill and Family streams of the permanent Migration Program, the government will prioritise applications from onshore migrants, allocating 129,590 places to migrants already living in Australia, with an additional 300 places allocated to Special Eligibility.

The remaining 55,110 offshore places will prioritise highโ€‘skilled migrants that help boost productivity and address Australiaโ€™s longโ€‘term skill needs, complementing Australiaโ€™s working-age population.
