If You’ve Never Failed, You’ve Never Really Tried
You know what’s worse than failing? Never even trying. Never putting yourself out there because the thought of falling flat on your face makes you queasy. But here’s the thing—every person you admire, every success story you’ve ever heard, has failure written all over it.
Let’s talk about some legends who got knocked down, laughed at, and told they weren’t good enough:
🔹 Walt Disney got fired from a newspaper because he "lacked imagination and had no good ideas." Imagine that. The guy who created Mickey Mouse was once considered creatively bankrupt.
🔹 Oprah Winfrey was told she was "unfit for television." Yeah. Oprah. Let that sink in.
🔹 Michael Jordan didn’t make his high school varsity basketball team. The G.O.A.T. was cut. Can you imagine the coach realizing that mistake years later? Yikes.
🔹 J.K. Rowling was rejected by 12 publishers before Harry Potter got picked up. TWELVE. Can you imagine the poor soul at Publishing House #5 realizing they let a billion-dollar franchise slip through their fingers?
🔹 Steve Jobs got fired from Apple—the very company he built. Then he came back and revolutionized technology as we know it.
Failure isn’t the opposite of success. It’s the prerequisite. If you’re out here playing it safe, never taking a risk, never stepping outside your comfort zone—what are you even doing? You’re not living, you’re coasting.
So go ahead, fail.
Fall forward.
The world is waiting.
