If you’re hoping people will forget, you’re already in too deep. The best crisis communications work you've ever seen is work you don't know exists.

No viral apology, no brand in the headlines for the wrong reasons, no statement that made things worse. Just a situation that was handled before it became a story - because the right words reached the right people at the right time.

That's what we do. and by design, we can't show you most of it.

What we can tell you is that we've worked across retail, mining, sport, and tourism - industries where the stakes are high, the timelines are short, and the cost of saying the wrong thing is significant. When something goes wrong, the response in the first few hours matters more than anything that comes after.

If you don't have a plan for that moment, now is the time to build one.

Hot take: AI isn't replacing social media managers. It's just making bad ones more obvious.

Claude can write the caption. It cannot tell you why your last three posts felt off. It won't hold a reel because something happened in the news that morning. It won't know your brand well enough to know what you'd never say. That judgment isn't a prompt. It's experience. It's someone who lives inside your brand every single day.

The brands winning on social right now are using every AI tool available and they still have a real person making the calls. The tool handles the volume. The person handles everything that actually matters.

Alcohol brands have a Gen Z problem. Less drinking, less loyalty, less "just buy the bottle."

So the smart ones are stopping trying to sell the drink and starting to sell the moment.

KFC just paired fried chicken with French rosé. Now Moët & Chandon has put its Ice Impérial in a tennis-ball-shaped canister for the US Open - ready-to-serve, garnished, no glassware required.

Neither of these is really about the liquid. They're about designing an occasion a generation raised on convenience and experience will actually want to be part of.

The category's future isn't "drink less, drink better." It's "make the drinking part optional to the experience being worth having."

AI can write your media releases. AI can send them. Journalists delete them. What still works - what has always worked - is a pitch that lands because the person sending it has spent years earning the right to be heard. Knowing someone's name. Knowing their beat. Actually giving a damn. Old school wins again. Patsy and Eddie were onto something - minus the Bollinger.
