Why would someone leave a glass in the coffee machine 🤷♂️
This may seem like an odd thing to do. Some people may say it's "straight out strange " 🥴
👀 If you look closer, it is actual a very powerful and effective habit hack.
I ❤️ coffee (who doesn't, right?)
I have one every morning like clockwork.
However routine I am with my coffee, I am not the same with drinking water.
💢 This hack right here is called habit stacking, and it is very simple to implement, it just takes 2 steps.
1 # Find easy to do task that you do hibitually, almost without thinking about them.
Eg. making a morning coffee or brushng your teeth
2 # Add something to trigger you into actioning the new habit you desire to add into your life.
Eg. Me leaving a glass in the coffee machine.
💢 Pro Tip - sticky notes are great to use for the tigger step
So everyday now, before I brew that morning cup of coffee. I see the glass and am triggered into having a drink of water ✅
💥 And like magic, a new habit is formed.
